Fort, those holding over 3% account for 50.48%. Then there's NM, SC and BS's holdings on top of that. I don't know how many institutions hold less than 3%. The balance of the shareholding has shifted considerably since 2020, although if it appears the Board are facing a battle I have no doubt they'll be canvassing our support.
Unsurprisingly, I think you're completely wrong about SC and you'll regret it if he gets given the boot.
The reason Irwin isn't buying more is that he feels his fund is fully exposed and he has no wish to take on more risk in this stock. He's balancing his risk, just like all fund managers.
Eloro, yes I think he is looking at that time scale.
DBW agreed, but you won't persuade people like Fort with your argument about remuneration.
Although I have plenty daily reasons to be anti-Aussies, I will be voting for NM out of some sense of appreciation for his previous work at Cascabel.
“Emense influence”
Now try and tell me he’s not stupid!!!
Q, what makes you think the upcoming AGM will have anything to do with a 'low ball offer'? Because I don't.
Eloro, despite the fact I voted against him in 2020, I will not be doing so again. I think he's useful as an NED and we want him to remain onside with SC. The most important thing is that we maintain Board continuity, although Twigger's position is neither here nor there. Fort seems to think if we sack the lot all our problems would be solved - he's wrong. It would be chaos and we've had more than enough of that.
You are preaching to the converted here Add where the BOD are concerned. We don't have a slate of suitable candidates to take their place if we vote them out, and would be playing into the hands of parties with malevolent intentions who in the past have been disruptive which prompted the Chairman's letter. I totally agree with you, we must allow Scott time to finish what he started.
Good to here from you again bbg. that's twice this week mate.
Glad your still posting, despite being ridiculed by the lnfester.
Where are you spending Xmas mate.
Italy the uk or australia.
Not sure aus is a good choice, forecasting hottest summer on record. Bush fires all over wa at the moment.
Still your aware of them. No need to tell you.
I forget mate, how long did you say you lived in australia.
Is this share now following the same path as Sirius Minerals? They need funding. Time is running down. SC is making the right noises which he is paid to do. Where is the interest? Surely this is a distressed stock now. I am sure companies will be circling to see what is the lowest price they can pick it up for. Surely Mathers should have stuck the deal a long time ago. No doubt he can afford more than most to make a loss here. Doesn't really matter about Mathers it will be the small investors or lose out.
I can see why you will go to the bin pretty soon....
Addicknt I don't believe the AGM is anything to do with any offer.
Hopefully we get more information on our direction.
Hi eloro. just wondering mate. have you had any further email correspondence you can

Italian. putting him the bin, doesn't mean he hasn't got a point.
this board is where it is, because of people being put in the bin.
that's why we only read daily the thoughts of adikt, rk fort eloro bbg
dbw, and every other happy clapper on earth. the sp is 8p.
but all we read is positives and idiots
No company or BoD's would head into an AGM without delivering some significant news and hope to retain their seats.
It's self preservation time... so either Scott has decided to bend over for BHP and Newmont so they save his bacon or he's going to unleash some great news.
They've nothing for 12 months but still managed to burn through $50m+. Just how on earth have they done that? Where's the cash gone??
Scott is CEO so carry's the can but he's Maxit's man... and without him they are stuffed.
Would not surprise me one bit if we heard of a deal on the regionals soon with a household miner name.
Mmm.
They know they are heading toward a difficult AGM, so if they have nothing up their hats then we really are in serious trouble!
Oh Fort stop it with the baseless deramping will you. You must have sold all your shares...
It boils down to this.
If you're BHP or Newmont then they will vote based on their own agenda. If they aren't going to make an offer for the company then their priority should be preservation of their investment and securing optimal value. Which achieves this?
- Binning Scott and having Maxit and the CGP lot arrange another proxy in his place
- Trusting Scott to get the approvals from the Noboa administration and packaging the company for sale to the Chinese
If they are interested in protecting their investments then option 2 is the only sensible choice. If, however, they want to create further instability from which they can predate and potentially launch a bid for control from, then they'd be more inclined to choose option 1.
And therein lies the quandry for PIs. Do you want put your bruised ego before your investment and by binning Scott make your company vulnerable to a low ball squashing? Or do you want to give Scott the chance to finish what he started, which ought to be a conduit for receiving something closer to fair value?
That's the AGM. If you vote for Scott then you vote for his team and if you vote against Scott you might as well throw your own cash into the fire.
A final point about news before the event is that the company can only report on what they can achieve.
They have been successful in farming out any of the regional projects to date, nor have they aggressively advertised this within presentations and other media - it has simply been mentioned as an option in some RNS'.
It's much more likely that the company will report on a firming of relations with the new government and the required approvals for Cascabel, this giving BoD a runway to delivering the phased development plan in Q1 next year, at which point the data room parties will be asked to make their best offer.
Bozi
“if you vote against Scott you might as well throw your own cash into the fire.”
Spot on ….. turkeys & Xmas spring to mind
Well yes it is DBW.
Unfortunately SOLG shareholders have form for it. I just hope it doesn't come to pass once again, as it will show that nothing was learnt from 2020.
*they haven't been successful in farming out any regional projects to date...
Whoever is ceo needs to get on with the sale of cascabel as we are close to the big recession now and the pivot from copper to gold being our main attraction is nearing.
On that green hoax, I have to admit I’ve discovered a really satisfying new hobby. Parking my diesel Range Rover in one of the very few electric charging bays at my local sainsburys :)
Jeeez Sean hunter , does it really matter what arapo posts, and more disappointingly you actually validate it by replying !!!
As I have said this BB is dead, defunct, kaput. Solg will get there ! impossible not to, but the few posters left here bar a couple who take the time to find interesting noteworthy links offer nothing but parroting of views posted for the last 12 months and to be honest are pointless and frankly act like pre pubescent teenagers .
ONWARDS & UPWARDS!!!
You will tell us when it gets keyed I trust
Not gonna happen, especially if they see me getting out of it
Look forward to tour spewing when you get a PCN

If they saw you getting out of it I expect they would politely point out your mistake and ask you to park somewhere else.
