Such excited chatter. Thought the sp must of climbed. Nope down another 4%
If people want to keep 'topping up' all that's doing is slowing the decline.
The SP may well end up multiples of where it is now, sadly though I fear it will just continue to fall the next couple years until it's sub 1p.
At 7.43p, Roxi, you said
"won't be adding anymore, sat with a decent amount now, just a wait and see now for the next few weeks/months"
We're you expecting a 20% drop from there? Thought we'd hit the bottom? Why is it still going down? Was it not the bottom? Was I correct instead?
Ouch
To Top Up Time???
Perhaps he’s just done the opposite to you and made a fortune……each to their own…….
Does Jiangxi announce funding pre or post technical report release?
Add, I guess you just can’t help yourself either…….😁
B3ast - you're making an assumption that the SP will not increase from here on.
I am here for funding news + future corp activity + potential dividends + share price appreciation (x15 +).
Why are you following Solg? For the above reasons no doubt.
RK, that was my assumption, but the RNS doesn't specify whether they're exec or non-exec...unless I've missed it.
Oh and to remind you...the insiders still haven't bought any more shares, so there must still be something material going on in the background...
These are NON EXEC appointments so may only cost say $100k pa.
Jan Liu is significant...Jiangxi effectively owns Vakuestone who took a significant stake years ago. At any time that could be consolidated with Jiangxis stake.
As a Board member he gets an in depth look at everything and this may well be designed to get BHP and Newmont to make their minds up. Mr Liu has been invited to join the Board..the other two would need to up their stakes to 15% to have the same purview that Jiangxi now have.
The Board was light after Twigger and Clare went and no matter how king it takes for the first bid to arrive, 5 Directors is not enough for a FTSE company.
Also since Ingo went they haven't had the same Financial insight into mining capital markets, except for Big Bad Bob.
These appointments show Daniel Noboa that SOLG means business.
But dont forget there are also two other major players with a strategic interest....FNV and Osisko...both of whom valued Cascabel alone at a minimum of c$1bn...
And if course there are 15 other interested parties in the dataroom...
So...message to Newmont, who've made a decision not to proceed with GGP...
What's your strategy now...?
"B3ast - todays shareprice doesn't affect me or illustrate solgolds resource."
It may not impact you, but i'm sure plenty here have invested for the potential of a future return for them to retire with/enjoy/spend on family etc etc. With the sliding SP none of this is possible
B3ast - todays shareprice doesn't affect me or illustrate solgolds resource.
Announcement regarding development financing is a matter of time... 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 6 months.
I want to see us go to production or see a major sale of the business.
Separately, Craig Jones will be looking for a new job soon. He would be fantastic to have on our team.
.. Which is “very powerful and will promoteth growth of the company” if I remember the quote
BBG
All too often people on LSE post hinting at what's going on in the background and what commercial deals could be in the pipeline. I get that could be entirely true in this case but the sliding share price is overall more concerning.
To be honest SharketMare, my interpretation was:
I sell manure.
"I advise on institutional agriculture deals"
I sell farms.
Just stating a fact, Tesla. Why anyone who isn't invested in a company would spend time posting anything, let alone negative dirge, is way beyond me. But I guess you have your reasons.
B3ast -
I advise on institutional agriculture deals, and what we have seen today is a clear and obvious condition precedent to a major deal being announced between Jiangxi and SOLG.
I see this in every equity deal I execute with investment arriving into a project or company.
BHP knows what today means.
Addicknt
Any chance you can give the passive aggressive agenda in your posts a rest.
I never start a negative thread, I only highlight the ridiculous ramping in here. Reasoned posters I’ll engage with.
Thr ramping at this pretty innocuous RNS Is insane…..FOMO, BHP SNOOZE YOU LOSE…….blah blah blah
It’s a joke.
Why should anyone reading these threads have to be invested. Most on here are all looking for alterior motives as to why someone is posting negatively.
I tone down my posts out of respect to Qalibashi but the ramping on here borders on ridiculous because the rampers are so down and over leveraged they don’t have any option
.So please give up the little digs in your posts about being invested………
I'm confused by the RNS - so much for reducing headcount and costs.
And an intriguing comment by Scott:
"...as we navigate the dynamic landscape of the mining industry..."
To me - and my frustrated PI mind - it sounds like things are still up in the air.
Hi Fort I think an off take agreement with a finite term would be preferable to Royalty but it could go in a completely different direction. As someone mentioned earlier a deal for say Porvenir could put all funding issues to bed for the foreseeable.
I’ve always thought this will be sold and still believe that, some say production the only way forward. Both take time and clearly neither have happened to date .
Some reaction to today’s release
“Looking Ahead: SolGold's Strategic Path
The appointments of Mr. Jian (John) Liu and Mr. Charles Joseland to SolGold's Board of Directors mark a significant milestone in the company's journey. By leveraging the vast experience and fresh perspectives of its newly expanded board, SolGold is well-positioned to navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the competitive mining sector.
As the company continues to grow, the strategic guidance and governance provided by its board will be crucial in shaping SolGold's future. Stakeholders and investors alike may anticipate a period of strengthened leadership and strategic direction, potentially leading to enhanced value creation and sustainable growth in the years to come”
Fort - SOLG would not appoint Liu if a deal has not been agreed in principle with Jiangxi.
Next four weeks is going to get very interesting....
"Incidentally, for those uber-pessimists, how likely is it that two highly experienced financiers would join the board of a company that's about to go t!ts up? They will have had long conversations with SC and he would have provided a lot of detail about the current situation, which they were quite clearly happy with."
To them it won't matter if it goes tits up - they get paid a big wedge regardless of performance.
Seen it happen on plenty of other shares
