Hi Aquinaga I couldn’t agree more !
I’m still staying positive that all of the recent suggestions from some posters here - of seismic news coming - is still ‘in play’.
And I also agree about the bulletin board becoming a circus :(
Someone rescue novicehunter he's potentially landed himself in hot water on the gst board.
This message board has gone to the 🐕 with the latest 🤡 cruella turning up as the latest member of the twaters club.

CluELLA. After your facetious question about my shoes, I went and looked and yes, my sneakers are, in fact, made from plastic.
oh dear.
net asset value is not net book value.
we can all see that english is not your first language, so you have to be extra careful in your reading and interpretation of the words. accountants, like lawyers, love to play with words, terms, definitions and blind the average joe with bull****. it makes them look far more wise and therefore worth the extortionate fees.
anyway, i noted and appreciated that you had the humility to admit to cmg that you are a financial neophyte, so hanging around a community of well educated investment folk ( and also all of us ! ) will be beneficial, just coming bowling in here like you are jack-the-lad does not wash with the worldly-wise crowd on here.
Massive get yourself booked in for a humour and irony transplant buddy 🤷♂️oh and leave me alone please before I report you again for trolling and cyber bullying
55p someday soon!!!
Hi CMG
I'm not an accountant but follow the MD&A and Financial Statements.
SOLG's Net Equity at end-March is c$262m.
Very broadly $500m Share Premium / Share Capital
plus $79m merger relief
less $300m accumulated losses
I don't follow why the $262m already spent to discover assets (with a NPV of $3.2bn, for sake of argument) should increase the NAV?
Anyhow, irrelevant in my view. All about the % of NPV or % of in ground value we'll eventually be offered.
and what are your shoes from kat. ❓plastic
nav have it out with stockpodedia you ****
copy and pasted from site
what is the definition of book value?
book value is calculate as total assets mins total liabilities. it is a measure of shareholder's equity.
stockopedia explains the book value
book value - or net asset value - is a measure of shareholder's equity and is calculated as assets less liabilities and any preferred stock.
from the accounting perspective, it could be seen as the underlying value of a company, whereas the market capitalisation value is dictated by the supply and demand of shares.
however, should the company go into liquidation, the book value is often used as a proxy for the value remaining for common shareholders after all creditors are paid.
"Lots of rumours on the bird about a buyout offer coming in the next couple of days SC spotted in London."
Be quiet skint.
CruELLA DeVille. ( Not a good handle, btw, as the character killed puppies for their fur )
Where do we begin ? How about some basic definitions and knowledge, or lack of it.
NAV ( Net Asset Value ) is used to value FUNDS , not companies.
https://www.investing.com/academy/analysis/net-asset-value-definition/
You are confusing this with Net Current Assets ( Current Assets less Current Liabilities ) also known as Working Capital.
This totally ignores Fixed Assets and Long Term Liabilities, so is only relevant when considering whether a business can pay its way in the short to medium term. ( Hence the Going Concern statement in annual audited accounts )
This is 'A' level stuff, never mind MBA, so don't come on here and pretend you have any financial / accountancy insight, as you are clearly out of your depth.
