If we go no deal then watch as all national infrastructure stock slump for a while (1 to 2 years)
You seriously think a no deal brexit is going to affect a UK only bus company more than Covid has this year?!
If you do your quite mad!
More people use public transport in economic downturns as it becomes too costly to keep a car for many.
2 things:
A) we now live in the age of broadband and home working. Why travel if it saves business and people money to stay home, so if economy is doing bad this will compound.
B) EU is getting ready for no deal: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-55259144
Also lets factor in less:
Less EU tourists coming here long term
Less EU students coming here
Less EU immigration that use public travel more than UK citizens
LESS LESS LESS - the revenue on this share will drop
I sold my shares @castle2012 the moment BoJo got on that plane to Europe as the voice of no deal grew.
sure I only walked away with a small profit, but I walked away.
been caught what, making money.
i'm here to make money, the only reason for share trading.
So thank you market for the rise, and now collapse so i can buy in again and hold to make another turn of profit.
@castle2012
Look, I'm a businesswoman. That's what I am. That's what I do. I don't want... this. I didn't come here for this. You don't love me do you?
its the catch 22 of every company and market.
Do I believe the company is a fundamental infrastructure service = YES
Do I think we are heading to no deal which will have fall out for years = YES
So between these 2 ideas I have to review price in and out to maximise my returns.
I'm a businesswomen doing bsuiness
You also said 68 pence on results!!
LOOK = we are just business people trying to do business, lets just get business done.
PS I hope we go no deal, the sheer near term economic disaster will mean great profits in the longer term bounce.
Clemboy, have you forgot you changed your mind again yesterday when on another board you claimed you hadn’t sold SGC at 77 but had set to sell at 85p?!
You’ve lost the plot!
That’s right clemboy... so many folk in the U.K. will be waiting on the brexit outcome before deciding to buy their megarider on Monday!
Your hilarious, keep the laughs coming please!
Never seen this board have so many posts in one day before, it’s great.
@Clemboy
I’m not certain by what you logic you conclude SGC is the best share to short in the event of a no deal Brexit. I hold a lot of different shares, and regardless of the outcome of Brexit negotiations, I full expect this to be a good and steady performer.
Don’t get reeled in Beerstalker, Clemboy is just having a laugh...
he’s either on a wind up or just mad! Or both?
