The cash pile will end at some point, no new investments they should of bought an asset or invested in another smaller oily with assets.
The Board continues to display complete contempt for shareholders. No RNS, no projects and very shortly no funds.
A total waste of an investment!!!
I have had one of those "Realization " moments as to why the Ticker is SEY. It means "Say Good Bye to your money"
(I have lost a small fortune here
Having lost a small fortune so far with Stirling, in desperation I recently e mailed them and asked them to take a look at Cluff Natural Resourses.( CLNR ). They could make a joint venture.
Anybody buying shares in small/medium size O&G exploration companies should always be aware of the risky nature of such investments. However, I can only agree with the latest 2018 comments on this BB as to the lack of direction of SEY. Since becoming a shareholder in 2009 I am sitting on a loss of 91% of my investment. Perhaps, they should use their "expertise" and look at other opportunities such as the UK like BOIL did recently when they farmed in to two UK licences. Meanwhile, the cash reserves continue to ebb away like the tide!!
Don't be Daft. This is Sterling. That cash pile will be squandered on Directors Fees
Looks like he know's what he's doing. Already been part of an acquisition and has a wealth of experience. Could be the turning point to put that cash to good use.
Bought a small holding here years ago along with 3 other small oil companies... SEY has done sweet Fanny Adams. I will never recover the loss here. What amazes me is that they did have loads of cash and no debt, and due to the company not doing anything with it the money is now dwindling away.32M left I believe. Unless a miracle appears that will run out in 1-3 years. My other small oil companies I bought were GKP which is now flying but due to consolidation some time ago it is now not worth the effort. My view has changed so much that I am going to become a defensive investor and dividend hunter. Due to the fact of not recovering any time soon time to cut losses I'm OUT Bye
No Dear They are "Sans Udder " Having been Milked Dry. What a Bloody Disaster of a Company
Are SEY still sans-rudder?
Move on please - nothing to see here!
Mr Butterfly?
I remember when this share had a buzz about it
Two days on the trot and increase in SP. Whats happening in sleepy hollow.
The list of trades shows a "sell" on 7 June of 87500 shares - I do hope, Kalahari, this is another seller.
Kalahari - many thanks for your feedback on the AGM - good luck with your investment - plenty of opportunities out there for our cash to actually earn some decent profit!
I attended this mornings' AGM, well impressed with Mikhael Kroupeev and the new BoD. The focus is to increase production from existing assets whilst continuing to look for M & A opportunities which does not include Syria. Mikhael Kroupeev I understand has a sizeable investment in SEY. He and the Directors ~ do remember this is a new team ~ want to see good success for SEY. I mentioned SDX and SAVP. When could we as shareholders in SEY expect positive news re : M & A opportunities ? ' Six months approx ' Conclusion : this is a solid BoD with great experience and well motivated for success. If the cost of the abandonment liability is capped / kept firmly under control then I'd suggest that with a net cash figure of $ US 88 mill and zero debt plus a good focus on the correct M & A opportunities, SEY might be seeing some good success. To conclude. I added 87,500 shares to my original holding. Every success to : Mikhael Kroupeev, Leo Koot and Ilya Belyaev.
Oh 'most certainly they are. Bound to be a hefty pay rise for doing sweets damn all
Oldnic - do you think they are clearing the decks for some big action post the recent rns announcement ?
Why should the Board do any more than Sweet F A. They draw fat salaries to do absolutely nothing. Why should they look for opportunities when all they need to do is to look at their Bank Stats each month to ensure that the payment has been made. We have all been well and truly screwed by the fall in value of our investment
it would be easy to form the impression from reading the results that at current levels of POO there aren't any opportunities available worth pursuing with the cash pot - am I missing something???
oldnic - Sagacious Serpent Selection there for blowing us out of the water!
