More discussions - hopefully posing the same questions and pointing out some truths. Must be running out of delaying tactics.
Meanwhile SAV say it was ‘ great to witness’……begs the question, were they there and / or involved or purely as a voyeur.

Not much green about these days. To be fair EP said in the presentation that whilst SAV may be at or close to the top, he did say that that was mostly just a correction to the reaction to Operation Influencer. If that is so, then it still held up against an otherwise pretty dire sector.

• Drilling phase 2 (remaining assays to come from phase 1)
• Further resource upgrades (from Q3 2024)
• DFS (by the end of 2024)
• Environmental Licencing (Completed soon after DFS finalised)
The DFS could see Sav reaching the magical 50MT.

AMG must be p****d off at sitting on a paper loss over £2.6m already on their investment.......but at least it should encourage them to perform well to recover the sp and push it over their investment price !

17 sells in chunks of over £9k today. Interesting!?
Agree with everything else. I think the £280m cost of mine is probably in focus as we seemingly get closer to it being required.

Strange trading pattern
For those that watched the presentation (now available from the SAV website) one of the questions referred to AIM listing. EP took the standard line of ‘always under review’ though seemed to break into a smile for some reason, no doubt best known unto himself. Hope they bear in mind ISA rules for UK holders.
That said, the presentation expanded or filled in areas of understanding regards the arrangement with AMG and unless there is a huge storm, one might expect to get into port as expected.
All well and good but I was particularly interested in the last point on page 6 of the presentation:
Other opportunities: If the studies planned under the cooperation agreement are positive, Savannah could gain exposure to additional spodumene and lithium chemical plants.
Expand the resource base and move downstream - mutual ambition.

I hope they are paying attention to the concerns of small PIs who've supported this company all these years.
I have been trading for over 40 years and no company I have ever had an interest in has caused me so much confusion. The m cap here defies logic, each move that should cause a serious price change get a muted response and then shrinks back...I've hung on so long now and actually very nearly broken even, so what the hell just keep hangin on in there. My holding has been up and down but presently sits at about 2m shares, quite a lot tied up with frustration.

I agree basic logic dictates we should have seen a rise after all the good news.
Now I’m just very curious why we haven’t moved?
Well buying at 4p is better than 5p. I do think we will be many multiplex in the longer run, I'm just disappointed with the rise after the offtake - lackluster!
I’m guessing someone isn’t disappointed, 1,000,000 after hours looks quite positive to me..
GLA
Where can we listen to the meeting please?
Ali I don't think a deal with the kind of companies you mention is realistic and the deal is good.
However
It's pointless keep adding HNW's and II's without trading volume to stimulate interest, the SP will just languish.

Seems very odd the drop just before shareholders meeting at 4:00pm. The news will be all positive, are the mm's doing a last minute shake?

42.2% being held by those 5 is good news I believe. Given that 2 are heavily involved in the company (Slipstream aka Dale) and AMG. They will not be selling out for 50 or 100% profit, they're in this for the long haul. I also believe the rest are in for seeing this through to a mining company. Add to this that there's many PI's been in this for a long time, and happy to see this through (me included) there is very little freely available shares. When this does get noticed, the prices being mentioned today certainly seem achievable in my opinion.
That’s each 😂😂
That would be very nice
Can have my 600k for 20p
Oscar 1210
We can certainly handle a bidding war 🧐👍🏻
Oscar1210 - I know what you mean, but I think that until we clear the holders that bought at the sub 3p levels and can make significant profit of up to 300% on this news then there will be plenty of sales time crystallise such big gains in short timespan. Once they've all taken their profit we might begin the next leg up. I'm comfortable that big gains will be realised by all over next couple of years or so.....patience will reward in the end !

Kentan, I was re-reading your initial post on this thread and looked through the AMG site.
Funnily I seem to remember the fanfare when they announced their refinery plans and had thought at the time that the Central European hopefuls would be jockeying for some agreements.
They have obviously got their fingers in a number of different pies and do not seem to have any difficult legacy issues, so a clean ESG slate. I particularly like the fact that in the lithium space, whilst they have been operating, it would not seem to be at such an enormous scale that we should feel ‘dwarfed’. Indeed even in mcap terms it’s only x4 approximately and if the different divisions were taken out, it might be much more of a meeting of minds and any ambitions that both parties have and can see.
I for one, am glad that we now have the certainty of funding through to FID and are partnered up with an outfit that is not so large or T&C where we could be suffocated
I remember around this time the prediction was 41p.
So 40p and I’m selling up, in the meanwhile 🤞🏻it’s sooner rather than later.
GLA
Here's hoping IB
Good summary of where we are now, and what the future could hold IB. The recent changes to personnel are also positive with a view to building this project out and in their words 'investor value' in the future
Early days and not sure that it is a case of a ‘Winner’ per se.
We are now fully funded to the Final Investment Decision. Certainty. With a relatively short term offtake fora relatively small percentage of the current expected production based on the current tonnage. This % is set to reduce as the resource estimate increases closer to 50mt.
If AMG organise the necessary capex in an agreeable format (and they should have a wider range) then their % increases and the term extends. They therefore have relatively low initial commitment which increases as the likely and hoped for future unfolds. Not forgetting that the 50% is on the current estimate, not the future resource.
Yes they have the rights to maintain their shareholding to avoid future dilution, but that isn’t for free. It still leaves a substantial cash flow potential to help fund all manner of further investment to expand the reaource base and be a part of the downstream developments hinted at in the agreement. That whole prospect would have been too much to chew on by ourselves and maybe we were being sidelined by GALP/NV so the grouping with AMG and their ambitions could be aligned with our own. Meanwhile, plenty of room for further deals, especially when the resource is updated and even more so should further tenements / auction areas are added.
As said, early days, and still some initial hoops to get through but with an mcap of 85m and much in place, we may well see a few more IIs nibbling.

Inbrackets, I know mate. Been investing for years.
All resolutions passed at 10:29am ...
New Chairman Elect, Rick Anthon, has the right credentials to guide SAV into the next phase with plenty of experience in the Lithium Mining sector, a very good choice, (he is also a lawyer, as was the late CEO David Archer).
Waiting now to see who AMG put up as a director to oversee their investment and enhance the board.
It looks a very strong team that represents all aspects of a mining company in Portugal.
Former chairman, Matthew King, is retaining his shares and remains ivolved in the background.
From the RNS:
As shareholders will have observed, new individuals, including myself, have joined the Board and management group recently to ensure that the Company has the appropriate team to execute the opportunity which is available. At Board level, our team now has significant mining sector experience ranging right through from exploration to mine development and large-scale sector transactions. In addition, our lithium sector knowledge will be further enhanced by the incoming director from our new largest shareholder, AMG, who we look forward to welcoming onboard in due course. There is also significant depth on the Board now in terms of Portuguese business experience, which is supplemented with broader international business experience and substantial knowledge of international capital markets.
SL, don’t forget it was a sell by someone to enable you to buy. As it happens you got a good price
My 0915 purchase is showing as a sell.
I've just bought £500 for my SIPP. Hoping for a positive AGM today with more updates.

- still under the radar

Remember - Buy on rumour, sell on news.
Great news tbh and after some consolidation,
this has got double figures written all over it. IMHO.
Obviously when it comes to good news it seems to have a negative effect....but....I am in big time on this looking at 2 years...It is my own fault I keep checking daily ...perhaps I should stop for my own sanity....
@ Cadell.
I am myself to be fair. But still. Early days perhaps?
Surprising that the sp hasn't risen more given that the funding is sorted and the way forward secured. We can all sleep at night knowing that things are heading north.

Yes CM, like you, I have felt the same over the years, but this is serious money being pumped in by a big German concern, I can't see them doing it without due diligence and prospects of a good return by getting in early, which really amounts to a joint venture, with them as a junior partner.
It is a shame David Archer didn't live to see this come to fruition, but we are grateful he sowed the seeds and saw the potential of a lithium mine in Portugal, despite a few false dawns along the way. Glad I too kept the faith.
I expect a small fall in SP when the new shares are added later today, although the striking price was at a premium (4.67p) to offset the dilution ... it could represent an opportunity to buy more on any drops.
It will be a very interesting AGM on Monday, bouyed by this announcement and other news for the year to come.
A rare piece of good news from SAV today - I had pretty much lost interest I confess. Typically the pattern has been to rise to about 5p when optimism abounds. Could this time be different?

Found it. May 24 corporate presentation, slide 31: "DFS (by the end of 2024)"
Q3 mentioned in last presentation I seem to recall.
Tony - Not doubting you, but can you point me to where they said DFS in Q3? I thought all they've said so far is "before the end of the year". Thanks.
I also like the fact they're tied in for 2 years followed by an orderly market proviso for 1 year, so by then SAV should be operational and the sp very strong and far north of single digits.
The fact they paid a premium for there shares should see this rise over the coming months

He was the old CEO of Savannah.
Always sad to hear such news I hope he does RIP.
Who was DA out of interest .
Deeply saddened to read this, he was the main reason I invested in SAV back in 2014 after meeting him at a presentation and later at other gatherings and promotional events. He will be greatly missed, sincerest condolences to his wife and family.
I notice from the share register details of what seems to be the transfer of his holdings to Dale Ferguson back in December 2023, so provision for his passing may have been a pre-empt for the sad news we have now received.
RIP DA....thoughts with his family and friends.

RNS Up 19% today 4.85p the 9am high .

Thank God I took some off the table 12/1/22 at 4.7p ( did not think like that June last when 4.95p )

26/7//22 Was going to buy more in ISA on limit order of 2.5p did not recall the buy on 7/7/22
On ( D )
12/1/22 Sell 4.7p (The 7/2/19 tranche 0.2p less then that buy , but the 6/3/20 buy was more then 3 times as many )

Very good news indeed.
I've just had a look at my sharedealing account. I'm up by a couple of hundred quid. Happy days.
Would be very nice to see sp at 10p and buy out at 20p
Very good news hence the tick up in recent weeks
Time to consolidate around the 8p mark as bigger players build positions
Sav has gone up nearly 150% over the last 5 months. I hope BHL (another Lithium play) will join in this rise.
I've only glanced through it, and I'll have a detailed read through it later on this morning.
But on the face of what I've read, this does look like good news.

Most excellent ! We're at the races now !
......BOOM
Perhaps just the Motley Fool group loading up for their 10%. More interesting is where do we get 350 mill from.
Moving on up without huge volume, does this indicate finally the amount of free float shares are greatly reduced? Next news flow could really send sp moving nicely.

Osaka, you could have left it at "It’s standard practice", just to avoid appearing, you know, unhelpful.
Last 2 placements have been April 2021 (Pre-AGM) and July 2023 (Post-AGM/new Scope Study), I don't think you can say there's any link between AGM and when funds are raised. As pointed out it's just standard practise to include such a condition.
It’s standard practice, if you don’t like it move on, simple.
Inwould never say a placement isn't on route but........
The milestones are already well known to shareholders, namely the endorsement of the Project ('DIA') by Portugal's environmental regulator in May, followed swiftly by the new Scoping Study in June, which highlighted the Project's near US$1 billion value. These milestones then paved the way for Savannah to complete a successful fundraise at market price in July, which has given us the cash balance needed to accelerate the work required to take the Project towards a final investment decision.
You would hope the next set of money coming in would be from a strategic partner , agree not always the case
Looking at past AGMs, they do have that inserted. The company tend to do a placement not long after, which i think is due, only my opinon

Name Shares held Percentage (%)
AL MARJAN LTD 275,762,589 15.07%
SLIPSTREAM RESOURCES INTERNATIONAL PTY LTD 148,274,045 8.10%
MÁRIO NUNO DOS SANTOS FERREIRA 91,600,000 5.01%
GRUPO LUSIAVES SGPS, S.A. 58,639,660 3.20%
Total shares issued with voting rights: 1,830,161,784
These 4 represent 31.38% with several large Institutions under the 3% disclosure threshold also being major shareholders.
With the share price just about to breach the last 4.0p rights issue, those that were seriously underwater earlier this year, when the SP dropped to 1.8p, will have to be convinced at the forthcoming AGM to stay on board and be prepared to invest more now that things have started to move again.
So, every piece of confidence and promising news is now vital to sustain the SP, to attract those willing to invest in the next stage and future of the mine.
We live in hope!
