Could someone explain the RNS, why would they sell off?
I assumed it was a further % interest.
really poorly written RNS if you ask me. it could mean a further 13.6% or could mean a reduction from 28.4m shares to 27m ish shares.
If you look back through their RNS history there are several similarly-worded notifications. Will have to have a look at website to try and work it out. If it is a sell, it's not much for these guys. Bills to pay? If it's a further interest in more, then that's great. The market thinks it's good so far, lol.
I agree difficult to know but with the news today i would imagine buying. Anyrate nice delayed buy at 12.2 just through or barx is behind the times again.
JM95 where in that RNS does it say selling. The word interested means buying.
Maybe an email to company to confirm the vagueness.
That's exactly how it sounds . " interested " not " disposal " or anything remotely negative. Bunch of derampers having a laugh maybe ??
Just to clarify for all, they have sold circa 600,000 shares, the last Ruffer Holdings RNS was at 16:55 on 6th September so you can see that their 'interest' in RHL shares has reduced (only slightly!). Hope that helps.
Just a bit of top slicing on a corporate level then haha
Without connector words such as 'a further' interest or 'reduced interest to' it's confusing! I was about to plough through the website and register. Anyways, yes it's not a lot, probably bills to pay or daily running costs. Cheers.
Apologies all, a bit off with my maths! They sold just under 1.2 million shares which equated to roughly 0.6% of the company. As to why, who knows, but as someone alluded to, they may have needed to pay some bills, don't we all! In addition, they may have sold these prior to the Hinkley news & then bought more today, time will tell!
