Ah I see. Smart strategy, jolly. PS - didn't realise you bought into SYQ relying on my advice quite so heavily as you've implied!
is an expression of my risk aversion/ignorance ...syq is not a core holding for me, so happy to get close to free carry fairly early ...if I had a mature understanding of (and confidence in) management, markets and multiples for SYQ, I would have bought into its sp strength
Glad to hear you're still in. Just thought I'd ask because I remember you top sliced at a low level (sub 85p) and I saw that as indicative that your target price was a lot lower than mine. When you buy into a share you must buy in large-ish volume to top slice multiple times the way you imply you do. I don't have the liberty. With the exception of BMN it wouldn't make sense to top slice more than once (with the frictional cost that comes with trading) so I'd just top slice to go on free carry with most my holdings, including SYQ. Out of sheer curiosity, I'd love to know you're selling strategy tbh mate - like how you decide where to top slice etc. Care to explain a bit? Are you a secret chartist after all?
yep...just holding for rise to 1.30-1.40...then further slicing to free carry ..that's the plan lol
waiting for results (or perhaps contract news), I guess ...I hope the sp is just randomly walking in happy obscurity...with bags of upside (fingers crossed)
Hope you're well. Do you seen any news acting as a catalyst to drive the SP higher? Or are we going to have play the results waiting game before this share for 2014 starts looking like one? :) PS - are you still invested in SYQ? Kind regards, Dan
I guess...20p stiff resistance/ceiling perhaps???
Continues... And I still can't work out why
Hi...just some metrics on their associate (links)...nothing sensational ..so waiting & seeing may be a plan!!
finally got around to looking at this one, looks like a good company, seems 18p is key here and needs to hold, any news due on this in the next few months. GB
so doesn't explain the retrace ...happy to pick up more c17p if possible
didn't REDT pay out a small dividend yesterday? If that's the case then it could explain the fall - people are selling now they've received the dividend they were presumably waiting for?
cannot break 20p...so retrace to ?
on tiny retrace..poised to test 20-25p range imv
well, imv, ev/ebit is v low for company in a good competitive position in growing markets with decent, experienced, aligned management ...with aim going gangbusters, this looks an overlooked gem to me ...aaoo/no advice intended
Why do you think it is "v v promising"? I think, on the core business alone, it looks good but not incredibly good UNLESS Linx ends up providing a lot more growth here by way of acquisition. Is that what you're counting on, jolly? Hope I'm making sense lol
libero...yep, dark horse & redt is v v promising (imv) for 2014
The HY report said it does include any earnings from Linx. But how much do you think Linx will boost Red24's revenue and profits? Beginning to wonder if Redt is a bit of a dark horse...
It would tempt me , Libero ;-) Very Happy New Year to you and his Jolly self ....
Merry Christmas, Jolly! :) Ps - do you really think that'll tempt him, blue? Haha
Of course, La Belle France, I should have guessed... what a Jolly fine place to spend the seasonal holiday :-) Best regards, as ever, Blue Ps; If you can wrench yourself away from the fine wines and the dancing girls, I have left you a little question on the GDP board.
spending too much (time) in Caves & bars to pay enough attention to lse lol ..Joyeux Noel, Libero (well soon enough)
I've had no funds for a while now and so, despite wanting to buy in here, it looks like Redt is running off without me! Whereas other stocks I really like the look of have had the courtesy to wait for me or even go a lot lower (in MOS' case) REDT isn't waiting for anyone haha!
Thank goodness you're alive and well - was starting to worry bout you! Thought you might have gone on a mad bender on the profit you made from TSTL or something, and ended up in hospital haha! Hope you had a jolly nice time in France, and it's good to have you back. Hmm maybe I'm discounting too much liability wise (thus inflating the EV) by literally including it all - total current and total non-current liabilities.. Either way I like the look of Redt and, having looked at the business itself a bit, I was pleasantly surprised they're linked to the industry I work in - insurance! For instance I see that Redt are involved in Kidnap & Ransom insurance (K&R) from the February RNS, and I had an interview to be a K&R insurance broker just around that time too!
Hi...just back on lse...been driving down thro France Libero...MCAP minus net cash (cash minus interest bearing debt here I think)
