As the largest company fully licensed by the Chinese government to import publications, CNPIEC has more than 10,000 institutional users spanning academic and public libraries across the country. The ground-breaking new site will use Publishing Technology’s pub2web platform with interfaces in English and Mandarin and aims to offer all Chinese libraries digital access to both local and international content, part of a wider government-led scheme to improve online access and discoverability of content in libraries. READ THE ABOVE. ON A PE OF 20 THE GOING RATE FOR A SOFTWARE COMPANY ,Publishing Technology only needs to make £1M profit Per year. Todays market cap is just £20M. Thus just £1M profit is required to hold todays share price. Are you telling me profits will not run into many millions from the contract above.?? Then add on profits exc China.

Riddler, thanks for that. I note even after a bit of steam letting very few sales.

Publishing Technology plc December 17, 2012 2:49 pm Publishing Technology, marked the end of a highly successful year by announcing a major go live for its customer, the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Developed on Publishing Technology’s pub2web platform, the IET’s Digital Library has become the organization’s central access point for all of its online content, dating as far back as 1872 and integrating over 185,000 articles and 3,500 videos. The go-live crowns a year in which Publishing Technology announced a major international deal with HarperCollins to implement one of the world’s largest global publishing systems on its advance platform. The company also signed 15 new publishers to its scholarly research portal, ingentaconnect, including the Institute for Noise Control Engineering, SUNY Research Foundation and the New Zealand Law Review. Earlier in the year, the company successfully launched Brill Online and teamed up with CNPIEC in China to launch the Digital Gateway, the most significant digital publishing platform to be launched for Chinese libraries. The company’s industry consultancy arm, PCG (Publishers Communication Group), also enjoyed considerable success, signing a global deal with Bloomsbury Publishing to sell and market the Churchill Archive and Drama Online. It also brokered an agreement with consortia groups to make the Churchill Archive available at a discount to over 500 libraries in the UK, US and Canada. Publishing Technology continued to report strong financial growth, posting a six per cent increase in revenues in its unaudited interim results for the first half of 2012. The company also redefined its suite of products and services to strengthen messaging to the market and express the breadth and quality of its commercial portfolio in a cohesive way, solidifying its position as the leading provider content solutions that transform business. Publishing Technology unveiled its new look, refined offering and new website at the Frankfurt Book Fair. As a testament to the company’s sustained growth and influence in the publishing industry, Publishing Technology CEO, George Lossius, was appointed onto the London Book Fair advisory board and was one of very few technology providers who made The Bookseller 100, a list of the most influential people in publishing. He commented: “Across the board the company has performed extremely well this year. We’ve made major inroads into new markets, signed high profile deals with some of the world’s largest publishers and solidified our position as the market leading content solutions provider in both trade and academic publishing.” He continued: “We’ve worked extremely hard to build up our market position and brand, grow and improve our products and services and seek out new opportunities and partnerships across the globe. As the digitization of publishing march
Riddler, happy Xmas.!
Westhouse; 17/12/12. Increased target price We indicated on 5 December when we last increased our target price that we could envisage increasing it further in due course. While we did not anticipate doing it so quickly we have again reviewed the basis of our valuation and increased our target price. Previously, we had assumed an FY2012E EV/sales multiple of 0.9x to justify our 150p target price which was backed up by a DCF with a WACC of 17%. We now factor in a still conservative EV/sales multiple of 1.1x and a WACC of 15% on our DCF to derive a 200p target price. As we maintained recently, for a software company with good global growth prospects and a strong position in the publishing industry we believe that Publishing Technology is well-positioned to grow shareholder value, so are happy to maintain our Buy
2012 is shaping up to be transformative for the Group. There is already a lot of progress and change on many fronts. The advance products are nearing completion, the pub2web order book is fuller than it has ever been and the new full service representation deals in PCG are building a more stable and less sales dependent structure to that division.
Who broke my wookie
I thought you said this will be a multibagger for 2013? Can't the share price wait until the new year starts please so that I can buy in? lol
Thanks Riddler, that would be a Market cap of £100M or after tax profits of £5M on a pe of 20 for the software sector. Can Publishing technology plc do that in 18 months/two years.? Yes i think they can.

Hi Riddler , based on profits jumping in lumps over the next few years. Turnover has been flat for 5 years as £2.5M P/A was spent on R&D for the new Advance suite [now finished] If you half the R&D and pay off the debt[due to be done in Jan] profits show big time. Add on high margin sales of the new software, the huge Chinese deal, the Bloomsbury deal and the Pub2web sales jumping from 4 to 15 not to mention the Harper collins work.!! Just like WSG the company has hit the tipping point, where extra turnover = very large profits.
