The USA government are entering in to talks with Venezuela & Iran to get their oil rather than Russia's. These should be the last regimes they want to do business with (as their political aims are to destroy western liberal democracy). Now, say PPC and the CPC Corporation, of Taiwan got their act together and discovered a huge find in Paraguay, maybe the USA would back a big player to take it over and pay a premium, especially if because no-one stopped Russia in Ukraine, then the assumption must be no-one would stop China taking Taiwan.
*Just* need PPC to get going and strike big in Paraguay.... haha.... only been saying that for nearly a decade now....
Yes should move higher with sentiment towards oil gas higher, could turn quickly and move higher, trafigura r exporting oil out of argentina 4 ppc, very cheap stock 4 sure, needs volume
Crude now at $139!!!!!!!!! When COVID broke, two years ago the fall in oil price from $70 to sub $20 caused PPC's share price to drop from 4p to 1.5p. Now the oil price is double want it was and PPC are even producing more oil, and President's SP has... oh.... :-(
I get the Argentine capped price argument, and the more shares in issue, issue; however it seems very unfair that when macro news is bad it has a negative impact on PPC's SP, but when macro news is good (for the price of oil I mean obviously not the situation in the Ukraine) this macro news does not have a positive impact on PPC's share price.
'tisn't fair
State Paraguay from op 13th drilling later in the year, be surprised anything happening 1st half of year.
Sellers straight on it this morning, no buyers
Fingers crossed that's the timeline they will follow this year.
Plus it's what they haven't said. I think if the drilling was to be commencing in June, then things would have needed to have started moving by now.
PPC have not actually stated that the Paraguay well will be moved to H2 2022 but all of the commentary would suggest that to be the case.
I think the drilling will happen this time as the farm-out agreement has been signed. We've already seen the dates slip from H1 to H2 though, and I guess nobody knows yet what unknown factors might push these dates further back again, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was to happen.
Good point that PPC might not be the company to take any find into production. Selling the asset (or all PPC) would be a good call. And if that were ever to happen, I'll happily sell all my shares and walk away being able to look back and say what a good investment PPC was....
DRichi
I would worry about the drilling actually taking place before worrying about the oil price in the region.
If Paraguay is commercial I doubt very much PPC will be the company to take it into production. The asset or PPC will get bought out very quickly.
Long way off, even if did find oil will take sometime if not years b4 in production and able too put too use. But good question, personally not over interested in this drill which I'm guessing will happen 4th quarter of this year if all goes plan, nearer drill should c some upside as some come in 4 trade,
Paraguay currently doesn't produce any oil. If President find commercial reserves there later this year, will the Paraguayan Government not get involved and let it be traded for the same price as Brent, or is it more likely the Paraguayan Government will cap the prices like the Argentine gov?
Said b4 there oil prices disconnected from out side prices, due too argentina pricing which seen as a negative, trafigura brought in partly help export lot of there oil. But even taken that into account ppc is cheap,
After all these years and TOTAL agony of long term holders, oil is at 120 USH per barril and PPC is not producing oil?
Come on Mr Levine, stop the gimmicks (ATOM) and huge dilutions (Trafigura) and GIVE US THE BLOODY OIL you ve been promissing for years!
CAPITCH ?
Or sell this to BP for 350 million pounds
Your choice, mate!
Some positive update out on ATOME, seen move back higher on this in last few days, big push on green energy of late, bodes well 4 ppc.
WTI at $114/ barrel.
Those Louisiana barrels are going to be very important now.
230 BOPD x $114 = $26k revenue per day. I would estimate that that could be $18k - $20k in profits.
i just sold 100k shares at a small loss.. apols.. but I'm hoping for a good RNS soon from zephyr soon and if yes I'll be adding that and more from other toppings there.. ( Including Atome well back up and that news yesterday.. this at 1.55 p ish now is sad to me.. and with O&G at the prices they are at I should be happy not sad.. I'll still keep a few grand in this whatever and am open to adding if/when I feel a meaningful/sustainable rally is afoot here.. )
Got be buy at these levels even if in just 4 trade
At these levels sellers still about, must be off loading at loss
Thanks elland,
Good to hear from you. Yes, spotted that in Malcy's update today.
Trying to stay positive on this share - I always think President make slow progress and should be pushing forward more. Maybe there will be new developments that surprise us and then we have Paraguay to look forward to - fingers crossed.

Good move recruiting this guy Daniel Musri believe devolopments P L Referring too will be via this guys appointment,
Hi NORTHERN. I am also interested to see what the cash income position is now. Although Louisiana volumes are modest, don’t forget that oil from here will realise current WTI prices. That apart, an encouraging RNS and although Malcy no longer has PPC on his Bucket list, he believes that we are grossly undervalued - see his blog earlier today
You need brasso on your bulletin board to make you constantly evaluate your investment.
In the RNS interesting
I look forward of informing you of further developments over the coming months.
Quite often OLd comments seem shrouded in mystery. This could relate to Paraguay but the words further developments he has something else up his sleeves.
Time will tell.
