Many thanks for getting in touch and for confirming that you hold 1.1m shares in Petropavlovsk PLC.
In answer to your specific questions, I have not, nor have I ever had any role for Petropavlovsk PLC itself. Instead, I am a member of the professional team supporting the Administrators, who are working under the auspices of the High Court in London in fulfilling their statutory duties under the Insolvency Act. In that regard, my function is restricted to answering shareholder enquiries. I am not entirely clear why my nationality is of any relevance, but since you have asked, I am British-born, a British citizen and have only visited Russia once on a short cultural holiday some years ago.
As regards the Administration itself, as you no doubt already know, Petropavlovsk PLC is now subject to a formal UK insolvency proceeding, under which Administrators were appointed on 18th July 2022 by the High Court in London to take control of its financial and other affairs.
The news on the case so far is explained in the documents which have been and continue to be posted regularly on the Company's website here: https://petropavlovskplc.com/administration-news/
You can get any further updates by checking this website page periodically. Subject to any other developments in the meanwhile, the next full update for stakeholders will be posted there in accordance with the statutory timetable seven months after the appointment of the Administrators, which will be in February 2023.
We would particularly draw to your attention the Administrators' Proposals document dated 8th September 2022, to which there is a link on this website page. This explains that the assets of the Company have already been sold by the Administrators to raise funds, which will be used to repay the creditors. It also describes the events leading up to the appointment of the Administrators and since then, together with the strategy for and actions to be taken during the remainder of the Administration, which is expected to be completed within a year, i.e by approximately July 2023.
Under UK insolvency law, funds can only be paid to shareholders after all creditors have been paid in full. Unfortunately, it continues to be the Administrators' opinion that there will be no pay out for shareholders. This means that your shares have no value and there is no process through which you can recover your investment or any form of compensation through the Administration. As such, there is no need for you to register your interest or submit any documentation unless this situation changes, but we are grateful that you have notified us of your shareholding.
Once the Administration has been completed, it is likely that the Company will eventually be dissolved, so that it and the shares in it will cease to exist.
However, we have noted your position as a shareholder and we have added your name and email address to our list of shareholder contacts to make sure that you will receive al
I have to assume that was Nick Hood who displayed such an empathetic demeanor towards share holders whose lives have been hit devastatingly at the hands of Russian crooks who received the blue print of how to rob UK shareholders from the UL government and with his company carried out the deed aiding and abetting a country we are practically at war with. The poor old UK tax payer have their money sent to Ukraine to supply weapons and some aid plus lining individual pockets and here are Opus robbing those UK tax paying pog shareholders on behalf of the Russians. Their only brief from the BoD was to sell a company under the smoke screen of a manufactured crisis that if they the Bod and m Opus had been genuine they could have ensured POGs survival by applying for a sanctions waiver, but they never did, not once. Opus were complicit in the lei that POG had no other options but to go into administration. I was contacted a couple of months back by a high profile insolvency firm that with POG in his words that there was NO BURNING PLATFORM that Pog was still producing a commodity in the ascendancy that being gold. How the Opus shower sleep at night is beyond me and other professionals who decline to do the job for the BoD , akimov and co and willing partook in the destruction of individual uk citizens savings . They should be ashamed
