Morning Shatter
We seem to have been joined by a few more since our lonely vigil with Seaking1 as well over the years on this. Long may it continue. Pity I had to sell half of mine before this happened but something is afoot.
I am in SAR and things happening there as well. That is not a recommendation by the way just an observation.
Spot on....
I agree on the point you made about brokers but the movement today is certainly a vast improvement on where we normally are and maybe news is on the way. GLA
Never believe what a broker says. One of the cardinal rules of investing.
I was hovering over the sell button again this morning but if this is a realistic forecast, it would be rude not to hang on or even top up. GLA
Can't find it anywhere but something spooked this rise and I can't see any other news that might have done it other than me selling half my shares a while back of course!
It was showing up on IG app in the news section this morning with the broker update notes for several companies. OXB upgrade was by Peel hunt but I cannot find it on the app anymore.
Me neither,s p holding up well though.
I cannot see that anywhere. Can you point me in the right direction ?
Thanks.
Peel hunt have raised OXB target price from 1150p to 2150p. That is some confidence.
wheelie... is that roughly a 30% profit over the last 24 years ?
I've also been in oxb since 97.showing a £3 profit per share now so can't complain.
OXB has been a long painful investment - I have been in there since 1997 with a sizeable amount. So the hope of takeover ambitious . I would be happy with my investment back . ZERO dividends till now. All profits used up in paying out salaries to management. Not a company which has looked after it's shareholders.
I don’t think it’s wishful thinking at all. It’s a matter of time in my view. Lots of giant pharma with cash to spend.
The term wishful thinking should have given it away!
Why do you think that a takeover could take place ? It's the first time the revenue has gone up due to the pandemic and extra sales. Unless they generate new growth areas it's not a terrific buy.
Even with the recent news Oxb doesn’t seem to be able to get any traction. Wishful thinking but a takeover would be very welcome. Fingers crossed.
Not insignificant news but perhaps not reflected in the sp ! Interesting to see what the rest of the week brings.
Plus £50m is a material step up in revenues in a single year. I can't imagine that the increased revenue would drive increased costs in anything like the existing proportion and can only, therefore, conclude that there should be a very healthy flow through to the bottom line. My instinct (opinion) is that today's leg up could be just a small step on a much more significant re-rate over the coming weeks/months.
