Big week coming. Positive share price action this morning for a Monday morning with no news.
UK RTC MOU expires is just over a week's time, and there will no doubt be a very positive development or two before then.
Mologic Antibody test being commercialised with tech transfer completing. WHO approval could come any day
Mologic Antigen news could come any day
China Food Test self approval could come any day
News on Visitect CD4 orders could come any day with global interest.
The news about the MHRA approval is obviously important but lurking behind the scenes is VISITECT® CD4.
250000 unit order to Nigeria RNS 17 jan 2020
Rapid test approval is the icing on the cake but even so Omega has so much to offer

I'm a bit ignorant on how MOUs work. Once the time period has elapsed does that mean that sales to countries/organisations other than the British government can start to be made?
Merchant - the one thing I am not clear on is what happens when the MoU expires. If there is no government contract in place and the MTA has already taken place then can Omega then commercialize and sell independently? This is more around the conditions of the MoU and expiry so I do not think it is an item for an RNS but more a process / legal question.
I would expect the government contract before the MoU expires but as we are only days away now it would be good to understand, do you have any clue? I think I may pose the question to Walbrook as it would be good to know if this is a strength or weakness of our position.
We simply do not know the detail contained in the MOU. But it is in everyone's interest to progress to supply agreements.
If i was to make some deductions, i would say the government first refusal will likely expire.
Good Morning raharh,
With regards to MOU I asked the question to Walbrook last week.
Q. "The MOU is due to expire on 9th October I believe? Presumably there will be an RNS before then to confirm extension or Govt agreement?"
A. "You’d either see an announcement either confirming the renewal of the MoU or a formal agreement that would replace the MoU, yes."

Just added 10k not showing anywhere yet
Unfortunately, the test and trace.....much like a lot of other government projects, has been given to government appointed engineers on the cheap that are simply not up to the job. It's really frustrating when you can clearly see existing companies with existing tech there that, for some reason, the government seem adverse to using. I'm actually amazed you can bid for government contracts on this sort of stuff.....If it were me in government, i'd be hand-selecting the best for the job....especially given the circumstances.
Its Jobs for the boys Chapsville by the looks of it
Absolutely bench......speaking of jobs for the boys - has anyone been able to get any live pricing out of our friends at HL this morning?
"Unfortunately, the test and trace.....much like a lot of other government projects, has been given to government appointed engineers on the cheap that are simply not up to the job. "
No... it was given to management consultants - without any formal procurement process - at a far greater cost than would have been the case had it been developed by the NHS and public health bods who do this stuff day to day...
"Lol that's a joke the NHS knows how to waste money quicker than any other company in the world, any private business funded with as much as the NHS gets given and it would make amazon look like a corner shop."
That, to be blunt, is arrant nonsense - and I say this as someone who knows the ins and outs of NHS procurement and development (including the national IT systems) intimately. Having worked both in the NHS and the independent healthcare sector, I can tell you the NHS is far more efficient than most IS providers.
It has been very noticeable that NHS Digital has publicly been distancing itself from the Serco/Sitel Test & Trace shambles...
Thank's Red - hopefully the supply agreement will be close enough to negate an extension to the MoU then.
@JAdams...
What you're highlighting is the outcome of constant political interference. Every new Secretary of State wanted to 'leave their mark' and did so by rearranging the deckchairs. That's not the fault of the NHS.
And if you want to know just how efficient the NHS is at delivering comprehensive healthcare at scale, I suggest you take a look at the 'Mirror, Mirror' reports from the Commonwealth Fund, which compares the performance of health systems around the world: https://interactives.commonwealthfund.org/2017/july/mirror-mirror/
No Problem.
Yes that is my hope, preferably in a monster RNS released at 16:31 this Friday!

Tomorrow morning would be better.
I cannot see the MOU being extended. Production is ready to go. They are ready to commercialise. Supply agreement needs to come to secure the supply.
We had an update as promised at the end of July. I am watching Professor Mark Woolenstone, Edinburgh university on Marr on iplayer. He says vaccine unlikely in 6 months according to his contacts. We aren't 'quite at the stage where we can test very large numbers of people twice a week ' so they can go about their business. He implies that is what we are aiming for. Now on about limitations of modelling. Having to use interventions we have never used before. 'If the vaccine isn't going to be available for 6 months, 1 or 2 years we have to look at things like Moonshot'.
Hi JAdam, still watching it. David Lammy is on now. I skipped the papers review so will go back.
I don't think it was. I watched it on catch up and didn't hear it (had it on in the background though).
@JAdams... the government has splurged £12billion (yes BILLION) on the Serco Test, Track and Trace programme so far.
Do remind us how efficient and good at delivering the private sector is...
Don't knock it Regulator! 12.6 billion committed so far. Not all spent. Got a feeling some of that has our name on it;)

JAdam, ooh dear me! Wish you hadn't shared that. Yikes! You're coming over like a Victor Meldor caricature. Think you've been bingeing on the Daily Telegraph or something?
