Do I need to be out buying nails and a hammer for my (delayed) Treehouse project? Hoping this rise is not a P&D, the steady rise recently has been great to watch. Looking forward to more news. Best regards from Dad and Dylan in Suffolk.
There has not been any pump as far as I can see...
pump and dump is when froth is generated by pumpers who are usually selling out as they tell people all the reasons they should be getting out.
will the rise hold? ncyt is pretty bad - historically in that sense.
however the drop has been overdone..and i did say awhile back it should be back to mid 50p...when i made a trade at 47pish in early May...just took a lot longer than i expected.
so i just put it down to market cycles and corrections.
Lets hope it corrects back to 1.50 or even 2.50 and then settle down before the big push back up
Good day, rise sustained. Let’s hope it stays that way from now on. We should hear progress news about ygen shortly.
Nice to see a bit of volume today. Kept going aswell, approx 296k shares traded in last 30 mins. Finishing near the day high. Hopefully it'll push on again tomorrow. But this is AIM so no guarantee's.
Nice to hear you and son are still alive and kicking Airline Boy -- it's almost like old times but still a very long way to go yet!
I wonder if the rise might be down to ygen holders selling up and buying in?
one of the question marks i have had is who would buy into NCYT in the future? ok past holders willing to speculate on dispute outcome.
i am not sure a lot of new aim speculators would be looking at ncyt as opposed to other more " saxier" stocks.
however ygen holders is another new pool now...they already liked the products that will be added if the sale goes ahead.
maybe the realisation that time is running out and every day it is less likely a competitor will appear? so they are getting in before the SP increases?
I have wondered if the ygen takeover is just the start. if nova can pick up a couple more worthwhile companies before June 2024 - say £60m cash of 3 acquisitions - the DHSC would have to agree a repayment schedule in the event they win - or perhaps even shares in lieu of cash
And lets not forget the “we believe we have strong grounds” to enforce the contract, statement, RNS… gives me confidence, they have every chance of getting paid, & costs & compo! imo
The only repayment scheme will be dhsc instalments to Nova! lol
So the options are:
A) Senior management crooks start paying the government crooks out of my investments.
B) Government crooks start paying senior management crooks out of my tax dollars.
I love this life.
Wrap - in the worst case scenario , have wondered if the cash in bank is spent..then would the gov have to settle for a payment scheme?
in which case spending more of the cash might be a good idea
Why not look for best case scenario? Seems a negative stance after a positive few days?
Prefer Onwards & Upwards… to negative what if’s
Dyor imo
Yourgene are certainly getting some air miles, currently they are at the same show as Novacyt in California, having already been to Melbourne and Tokyo in the last fortnight .Will it convert to future sales?
No idea Exmex , hopefully yes.
This will rise again today and will be green very soon. Just did a dummy sell and getting quoted 60p to sell.
Expect a big jump here - 80p?
After such a big rise yesterday I did wonder if we'd see a rertace today... there was certainly some selling first thing and then off it went past 60p, nice!
Yes somewhat distorted, red and blue, but some want in.... #goodforNova
Halted in France 10% up - didn’t expect that after a good rise yesterday. Looking like another good day today 🙏
"Why not look for best case scenario? Seems a negative stance after a positive few days?"
cos i like to look at all the different possibilities when i make decisions.
I dont see the possibility of further acquisitions as negative, on the contrary, growing the company this way (very selectively of course) would deplete the cash pile and as CS suggests would mean the gov. having to take instalments should they win. Would they want to be seen to bankrupt a company with 100s of employees? of course not. I would also like to see a modest buy-back
Mmmmm okay keep telling yourself that...
The time for buybacks was when the share price sat at 40p, there's no need to waste cash if we're at a slightly more reasonable level of say £1.
I hope this huge rise doesn't lead to sudden tedious ramping on here from the same old accounts that do the rounds... I like it when it's just the LT holders!
this gov doesnt care, otherwise why challenge? ie michelle mone / hann**** / all have hand in jar... nova will win hands down, imo? nothing to do with spending money you think you might not have, in a few months time? but more so, thinking of the extra money you will have in a few months time, possibly even know about now? who knows, not you, nor i
but, i prefer to look on the bright side for the moment... dyor imo
Back in after a year or so. The Ygen deal seems to have turned the sp around. Nice to see the LTHs monikers again. May your fortunes change.
"but, i prefer to look on the bright side for the moment... dyor imo"
no you prefer to ramp the xxxx out of this share ...we all know your agenda. nothing wrong in it. just be honest
