craig - i was collecting quite a few boxes of the free tests. at the end they were sending out the innova ones so clearly they had used up the better ones.
the end by dates of the later boxes i got were may 2023.
i don't remember any additional huge contracts for self tests - so i would question how many they are sitting on
bh- i totally agree on the m&a. actually its a good post
Message to Marketing department at Novacyt,
How about following this lead up immediately by placing some professionally focused advertising in C&D ( Chemist & Druggist) instead of Twitter and try to raise awareness of what Novacyt has to offer to help UK pharmacies in this area. A reference to what Tata is doing in India would not go amiss.
This is an opportunity to follow up now in my opinion,
P.S. Thanks Saintsmith for bringing it to our notice.
Craig speaks more sense than you ever will
Craig speaks Korean sense than you ever will.
Hey Craig weird after a six month time out to jump on here, thought you'd still be interested in telling the poly holders they were up the creek.
You may be right but I wanted to know how many tests the gov had stockpiled as per your mail.
Oh FFS ain't going to do testing anyway that us dead and buried anyway like this share
Can you provide the document / article showing they are sitting on a stockpile of tests that can identify XBB.1.5 ?
Neither do government but they are sitting with an abundance of kits anyway
Can’t see a doctor ? Massive need for pharmacies diagnostic testing.

Swag, if there is a market for it it’ll be taken by one of the huge players.
True, Huey. It’s just a dreadfully run company. Doing nothing with that much money in the bank for almost 2 years is actually insane. That said, it’s probably a good thing that the absolute lemon DA wasn’t allowed to spend it though. One just worries about who is in next as they may well just be in it for the pay packet. “Ah you have £98m in the bank eh, my salary demands are now 200k/annum higher”
Swag, ATM NCYT don't have much of a portfolio and no online ecommerce. It's not the fault of sales/marketing it's no planning and no strategy that's to blame. Also mass marketing for diagnostics is a waste, it's a niche market it's different sales and marketing people like us shouldn't see it, it's a waste.
NCYT has no moat or unique selling point but it does have a ton of cash. M&A is straight forward buy a business that's compatible that adds value, make sure that the increased revenue from new products over a number of years returns the buying price plus a profit and keep repeating.
This is an industry where you need to be constantly evolving new products or else buying the IP which ever is better or cheaper, but any company standing still like this is floundering.
on paper NCYT is positioned to be a major player, it is mindnumbing painful to see a business float in a sea of mediocracy like this. To not be even able to get your HO address correct on an RNS is so wrong. It's failure everywhere, websites to branding to planning. To leave a 100mm in the bank for so long is stupidity in the extreme
It's obvious that most of the BoD will be replaced once a new CEO is in place. The best possible outcome is another reverse takeover to achieve this and get some life into this business.
The public don't want it anymore.....
come on gov..lets get testing!
"Which would be absolutely flooded with providers."
possibly - depends what conditions the self tests were for. however it would then be up to ncyt to "sell" product...now before you start i realise that seems to be their weakness. they need an overhaul of their marketing /sales team. maybe based more on performance and not seemingly a wage whether they do anything or just the odd tweet on twitter.
i just think self tests with covid - opened up a new awareness in the public....i believe someone will take advantage of it and make money...whether it is ncyt - who knows?
The reason novacyt need a new ... Captain.....
Which would be absolutely flooded with providers. Let’s face it, we’ve done our money.
p100....yes. i am not talking about flu.
for example i think there is a self test market for HIV /HPV / STDs and other things. i think a lot of people try to self diagnose stuff using the internet ...exasperated with GP services etc...so if you could get self tests for various conditions then i think there would be a potential market.
Do you honestly believe that? Before covid people caught something, recovered and carried on after. We’re really not going to be just testing ourselves at home for everything.
i think the self testing that we got used to with covid will only increase in the future. the issues with actually getting a face to face with a gp could well feed the hunger for various self tests.
i personally think it would be good to see ncyt move more into this field of self testing.
i think it is clear that they do need to up their marketing. They are still behaving like the small pre covid company they were....when they have a lot of cash and should be capitalising on the exposure they got from covid.
Nova really are not a major player.
I wouldn’t read that much into it. Look at the charts or abd and gdr - almost follow exactly what happened here, more so abd but both were also pumped and dumped. It was literally a way for traders to make quick money off the back of the China news which, as expected, is now last weeks chip paper and no one cares.
You know you post content that is exactly like another account named Valju.
