Wrap - in the worst case scenario , have wondered if the cash in bank is spent..then would the gov have to settle for a payment scheme?
in which case spending more of the cash might be a good idea
So the options are:
A) Senior management crooks start paying the government crooks out of my investments.
B) Government crooks start paying senior management crooks out of my tax dollars.
I love this life.
And lets not forget the “we believe we have strong grounds” to enforce the contract, statement, RNS… gives me confidence, they have every chance of getting paid, & costs & compo! imo
The only repayment scheme will be dhsc instalments to Nova! lol
I have wondered if the ygen takeover is just the start. if nova can pick up a couple more worthwhile companies before June 2024 - say £60m cash of 3 acquisitions - the DHSC would have to agree a repayment schedule in the event they win - or perhaps even shares in lieu of cash
I wonder if the rise might be down to ygen holders selling up and buying in?
one of the question marks i have had is who would buy into NCYT in the future? ok past holders willing to speculate on dispute outcome.
i am not sure a lot of new aim speculators would be looking at ncyt as opposed to other more " saxier" stocks.
however ygen holders is another new pool now...they already liked the products that will be added if the sale goes ahead.
maybe the realisation that time is running out and every day it is less likely a competitor will appear? so they are getting in before the SP increases?
>60p close. Cowabunga, dudes.
Put on your zebra dress baby,
'Cause we're going out tonight.

I'm gonna wear my boxing gloves
In case some fool might wanna fight.
Yeah yeah!
Harchris, in the first half of 2020, we were getting regular updates about who had agreed to make our assays, which countries had approved our tests etc. As soon as we had paid the debt off GM stated something along the lines of 'we are a bigger outfit now and don't need to RNS so much info'. That turned out to be code for 'We shall not be saying anything further outside the regular updates, half and full year reports' etc.
Ps great to see many of the old timers popping up!
As one of the least communicative or 'frothy' companies on AIM novacyt has never been leaky on news although over 1 million shares traded today out of the blue somewhat is quite unusual.
I'd still argue this is simply confidence returning, knowledge that for certain the cash in the bank is not ring-fenced, possibly a bit more belief in the words of management that have since day one argued that they believe they have 'strong grounds to assert their contractual rights' re the DHSC. Maybe an II / HNW started buying today which set off traders to catch the uptrend?
What we can be pretty sure of is post dispute outcome, with zero debt (and therefore very low risk), novacyt will be trading at/around their net asset value at a minimum. At last count that's £115m / £1.63 a share. And worth noting there's barely any intangible assets/goodwill on the balance sheet to give an artificial NAV.
Nice to hear you and son are still alive and kicking Airline Boy -- it's almost like old times but still a very long way to go yet!
We've had the news , market sentiment has changed too.
I don't want to hear anything about the acquisition except it has completed. What on earth would anyone expect to hear in July about it.
Re YGEN , no news is good news , no alternative bids will have most holders voting in favour of the deal , the alternatives aren't pretty.
Unless of course Novacyt want to announce another bolt on , OK with that.
Right now happy with silence
Can't remember that far back Newbee007.
This is looking more and more like a leak rather then a P&D. The rise at the end indicates people buying in expecting some news?
Lets hope we get a rocketship tomorrow. When she rises she really rises!!!!
Nice to see a bit of volume today. Kept going aswell, approx 296k shares traded in last 30 mins. Finishing near the day high. Hopefully it'll push on again tomorrow. But this is AIM so no guarantee's.
Good day, rise sustained. Let’s hope it stays that way from now on. We should hear progress news about ygen shortly.
Lets hope it corrects back to 1.50 or even 2.50 and then settle down before the big push back up
Are the shares in auction as can't get a quote to buy or sell in my Barclays account?
With many Tks as ever to Kilkenny ted here is an update on co prep which as you will here is not yet(but nearly ) launched

There has not been any pump as far as I can see...
pump and dump is when froth is generated by pumpers who are usually selling out as they tell people all the reasons they should be getting out.
will the rise hold? ncyt is pretty bad - historically in that sense.
however the drop has been overdone..and i did say awhile back it should be back to mid 50p...when i made a trade at 47pish in early May...just took a lot longer than i expected.
so i just put it down to market cycles and corrections.
Do I need to be out buying nails and a hammer for my (delayed) Treehouse project? Hoping this rise is not a P&D, the steady rise recently has been great to watch. Looking forward to more news. Best regards from Dad and Dylan in Suffolk.
Hi Kaeren, yes I did. After research and thanks to comments / information here, offloaded 65% of my YGEN and entered Novacyt.......fingers crossed.
Howdy all.
Been off the grid for a while.
What's the story with the SP starting to recover? Still chances of me & Kaeren going on that date when SP hits £5 again?
The slightest sound of a good settlement for NCYT could blow the bl@@dy doors off...lol
Did you buy GL ? If yes and you sold YGen for near offer price you are quids in already and it equates to over a 20 % increase on current Ygen offer. If you did , that's exactly what I would have done.
Each to their own .
Legal case settlement?
