"Increased flow, transportation and electricity projects continue to make a more robust North American natural gas market place. Less imports from Canada and more exports to Mexico mean that the U.S. will become a net exporter of natural gas this year or next. U.S. piped gas to Mexico has more than tripled since 2010 to about 3 Bcf/day. By 2019, 15 new pipelines will more than double capacity to Mexico to around 15 Bcf/day. This is far more than anticipated imports, but extra pipeline access that would help Mexico meet peak demand. This is important because there’s basically no storage available in Mexico, lacking mature fields, aquifers, and saline domes to store natural gas. Mexico has liquefied gas storage of about 3 days, far lower than the average storage capacity for OECD countries of nearly 85 days. Since 2010, Mexico’s gas consumption is up 22%, but its production is down 11%." http://www.forbes.com/sites/judeclemente/2016/05/08/the-u-s-natural-gas-export-boom-means-pipelines-and-lng/#971a5ae74234 And electricity export opportunities: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-03-23/cash-hungry-u-s-power-producers-lured-by-mexico-energy-reforms The rumour gaining momentum is that this guy Heriberto “Eddie” Gonzalez is potentially being lined up as the new NCT CEO; his CV (posted by Noli before the Prosper Petro site got taken down, also showed him as President at PP). For me his very brief CV crosses over much of what NCT have been building in the last year or so but maybe the thinking is that they now they need a heavyweight to take the plans to the next level. Some would see that as natural progression in the company's growth. The above recent articles demonstrate some very big opportunities under the MX Energy Reform. Is this also where NCT might be heading (along with other MX oil related service activities)? Certainly it looks like "Eddie" has the credentials, particularly liked the last bullet point, this undoubtedly is high level business. Bigtimber mentioned this morning the remediation plant and thought that there might be plans to expand the facility by the end of the year. That area is also covered off in his CV. Too many similarities for my liking. Tick tock....imo Heriberto “Eddie” Gonzalez, Jr. – President •Successfully built and sold several waste management companies Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, Texas areas. •Owner and President of two oil and gas companies involved in the development and operations of oil and gas projects in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. •Brokered one of the first cross border natural gas deals between the Mexican state owned electric utility and private sellers in the United States in the Mexican post energy reform era.
meant also to add this link - a recent and comprehensive FT article on the US>MX gas opportunity https://next.ft.com/content/427ad672-08c8-11e6-b6d3-746f8e9cdd33
Apart from the odd, important :-) links you add, we need news to drive this forward from here now.. I have asked when the AGM is likely to take place and added in a few other Q's,.
I know that you have many ears in many bowls of guacamole, but how do you know about the Eddie being lined up for CEO?? Interesting if true, and I can certainly see a far more positive future! a NEW CEO may entice some Chinese investment interest....
Hi RachelsDad... Apart from Eddie being President of SCDI, and a few rumours... That's all I can add.. If I were to post any comments I've heard from within Northcote HQ, then that would be against the rules.. If I were to give odds on this happening, I'd go 1/2 on! But I better add, that's just my opinion.. also IMO, I've got a suspicion Stephen Brock will be joining us,(see his CV and info on my twitter Acc), plus a few other names I've been digging out... If RC does go, then at this point in the Companies history, I think it will good for us - especially as we are on the cusp of rich and transformational newsflow. .but dyor of course.. I hope RC updates us on any board changes as soon as, putting these rumours to bed...Wink, wink MM ;-))
Stuy- Thanks for your reply! 1/2 on hey ?? You only stick odds like that on pretty much a dead cert !! The company needs a NEW lease of life and a NEW CEO will go a long way to help! Bring on the news....
Rachelsdad, Those odds are looking pretty much on the money....the odds get shorter by the hour....imo of course....
Only my opinion, but the whole of Notthcote needs to be shaken up a little.. Perhaps this is our 'time'.. I'm also just wondering what StBrides actually do for us too? I hope when news comes, SB scream it from the rooftops! (I can only work out they're only good for cut n pasting RNSs).. I've a feeling we may have clarification on this early next week..
St Brides do nothing except send out a copy of the RNS's, and then after being told that there are errors, they say, thank you, we will advise the company.......the Nomad is the one who should be checking and clearly didn't....this is not first time, but the big difference this time is that RC did not write the Shoats Creek update, nor did the Chairman.....try the bean counter I'd say.... IF true, I think the near term news from the company should do all the talking....forget these PR amateurs, they really are just that.....
