Once integrated, the combined company will operate as Menzies Aviation and will be the world’s largest aviation services company by number of countries and second largest by number of airports served.
Operating as Menzies Aviation, the combined company will provide air cargo services, fuel services and ground services at airports on six continents. The new company will have approximately 35,000 employees and operations at 254 airports in 58 countries, handling 600k aircraft turns, 2 million tonnes of air cargo and 2.5 million fuelling turns per year.
“Menzies and NAS will create the world leader in aviation services,” said Hassan El-Houry, who becomes Chairman of the combined company, having previously held the role of NAS CEO.
“We will have the scale and resources to expand and grow as the industry recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic. Commercial aviation is a key engine of global economic growth, and our customers need partners they can count on as flight volumes return.”
The company’s customers will include Air Canada, Air China, Air France-KLM, America Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, EasyJet, Emirates, Ethiopian, Fly Dubai, Frontier Airlines, IAG, Jazeera, Qantas Group, Qatar Airways, Southwest, Turkish, United Airlines, West Jet and Wizz Air.

Agility has a strong track record of sustainable and responsible growth over the last two decades, driven both organically and through mergers and acquisitions, and this latest deal is part of our strategy to further accelerate that growth. For Agility, this deal creates the largest owned and operated – “controlled” – business in Agility’s portfolio by revenue, headcount, and global presence.

Menzies Aviation joins global mission to decarbonise aviation
21/07/22 Fuelling Sustainability Share
Menzies Aviation, the global aviation logistics specialist, has joined the Mission Possible Partnership (MPP), an alliance of climate leaders focused on decarbonising some of the world’s highest-emitting industries.
Global aviation is currently responsible for about 3% of total global, anthropogenic CO2 emissions – having seen an increase by over a third between 2010 and 2019 alone. If aviation were unmitigated, it could be responsible for an even greater proportion of global emissions by 2050.
In collaboration with the Clean Skies for Tomorrow coalition, the MPP has published a new Aviation Transition Strategy that has been endorsed by over 60 aviation leaders, setting out a global strategy to achieve net-zero aviation by 2050.
The new report, “Making Net-Zero Aviation possible: An industry-backed, 1.5°C aligned Transition Strategy”, provides a series of actionable steps to be taken over the next decade to secure a transition towards carbon-neutral flying and deliver the goals of the Paris Agreement. Actions include drastically improving fuel efficiency gains of aircraft, the rapid roll out of Sustainable Aviation Fuel and market entry of hydrogen, battery-electric or hybrid powered aircraft.
Menzies, which provides ground, fuel and air cargo services is the first aviation services business to sign the global strategy, reflecting the company’s commitment to its AllIn sustainability strategy. Announced last year, All In encapsulates Menzies plan for making a positive difference to guarantee a fair and sustainable future, notably its ambition to be carbon-neutral by 2033.
Pathetic piece in the Times this morning blaming HMG for the current air industry shambles (as though this is unique to the UK). Clearly feels the taxpayer should have bailed Menzies out. Pl be aware that is the job of the shareholders not the taxpayer.

The win will add an additional 40 flights per week to Menzies’ Jakarta ground services operations, significantly increasing the volume handled by the team.
Also at CGK, Malaysian cargo carrier Raya Air has selected Menzies to support its operations, starting with four weekly flights and growing. Raya Air is a new customer for Menzies.
Both contracts provide Menzies with continued growth in Indonesia, reflecting its trusted service and safety standards in the region.
Menzies has also won new business with My Indo Airlines, providing freighter, ramp and cargo services to the airline at Macau International Airport (MFM). The initial two-year contract will see Menzies handle an additional estimated 2,000 tonnes of cargo per year. The win reflects Menzies’ longstanding relationship with the airport, where it has been operating since 2000.
These contract wins follow the appointment of James Wong as Senior Vice President South East Asia & China. While this is a new role in Menzies, James has been with the business since 2019 in a variety of roles in the Americas region, most recently as the Vice President Cargo & Sales North America. James is focussing on developing new business throughout the South East Asia and China region as part of Menzies’ strategic growth plan. Menzies Aviation joins Clean Skies for Tomorrow to achieve carbon-neutral flying
01/06/22 Fuelling Share
Menzies Aviation, the global aviation logistics specialist, has joined Clean Skies for Tomorrow (CST), a coalition of airlines, airports, and oil companies aligning efforts to achieve carbon-neutral flying.
Menzies is the first aviation fuel services provider to sign up to the coalition, which is led by the World Economic Forum in collaboration with the Rocky Mountain Institute and the Energy Transitions Commission.
A key goal of CST is to increase supplies of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to 10% of the global fuel supply by 2030. SAF is currently the only alternative fuel option available for commercial aircraft and accounts for less than 0.1% of all jet fuel used. It is a cleaner fuel powered by sources ranging from agricultural waste to carbon captured from the air.
Menzies’ fuel teams have already performed SAF refuels of commercial flights in both the UK and US and are implementing management of change procedures for the receipt and handling of SAF at some fuel farm locations.
Beyond supporting the transition to SAF, Menzies has implemented it’s All In Sustainability strategy, which includes a commitment of becoming carbon neutral for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2033, which coincides with Menzies’ 200th anniversary.

Sold 25% of my holding today (taking advantage of tax free allowance) for +298% returns (fantastic movement from this one). May sell another 25% before end of tax year but will leave the remaining 50% (as this is held in my ISA) for completion of the takeover later this year.
Sounds like many people in the BB have made good money on Menzies which is great to see - congrats all!
Can anyone have information regarding the last trading date to trade Menzies share in the market.
