Xcite Energy, that brings back memories. I was playing with Encore oil.. made some good profit at the time.
Dozz..... The licence would't be taken off them but the company needs money to exploit.
If the company run out of cash before the LP is granted there is an issue of being able to continue as a going concern. Just simple economics. Unlikely ? Sure, But its happened in the past where companies just run out of cash and fold. Just one factor to weigh up and if people want disregard or give little weight to. Its a free world (allegedly)
i understand Curiouser what you're saying. IMO i do believe the LP is coming, it would be suicidal for the MG not to issue it, but as mentioned NONE of us know when that will be, we all hope it will be very very soon but whatever is posted on here is an assumption, guess, hope whatever you want to call it. At this minute in time NONE OF US KNOW
surf1 ... and Desire Energy? Turned oil into water I recall?!!! But made some money from Rockhopper at that time :)
Thank you mr Viking :)
Mr Curiouser reason people like me post like I do for last hour is to help people like you who sat they do research but have problem with VERY SIMPLE point about CABINET SIGNATURE or GOVT VOTE
Maybe look in mirror to see where poster problem is ;)
Be happy but do not try to confuse people & when you say you know so much about company :)
Hope you get your share now at price you happy with ;)
Xcite needed to raise a huge amount of money to fund a relatively deep off shore field with slightly unusual geology miles off the coast of Shetland? From memory. A bit like Rockhopper today.
Matad need to attach a pump to a well which has already free flowed at a better rate than any other wells on the Chinese side have flowed. And there are quite a few of them
Not really the same?
Yes.. Some good opportunities around during that time.. But don’t mention Range resources lol
All those old oilers gave me goose bumps !!! Those were the days ! Encore,Enegi,Gkp,Rkh,Des,Mxp !!! had them all !
The Des Rns Oil to water was shocking although i think they actually went up that day ! It was as if Jesus was at the drill point !!!
It was 'heavy' oil for Excite wasn't it?
Tricky stuff.
Not the light sweet crude that Heron produces that you can add to ****tails or drink neat to improve your health.
Off topic. Does anyone remember Voice of Reason? He was an arch oily ramper at that time... he sure was like our old friend Mr Fair Analyst... I wonder what ever happened to him?
Did he get reincarnated as a pantomime feathered Asian caricature I wonder?
Thornog and others... its not the difficulty with getting the oil out of the ground - its the running out of funds before you can get your hands on it.
Anyway its just stuff for consideration. Apologies to all those that get sensitive or confused by share holders that have critical thinking skills.
Friend if my who is investor tell me about GKP go from 10p to over 150p or Dana go from pennies to £20
Think mr Buck transform NATD like mr Tom Cross do for Dana. All pieces here for this but make own choice & be happy with this :)
Bixy I even held MATD back in those days! Went from £1 to £2 very quickly. Only needed to mention the word spud and the money rolled in. Happy days ! :)
Mr Curiouser glad you BUY back in now after hard work you put I to last hour lol
Confusion is problem & do not think you are confuse lol but your post make confusion for other. All understand here but be happy anyway sir :)
Jeez, hope not like Tom Cross...Dana took what, 18 years or so? Ha!
There is also the question of how much needs to be raised to keep the boat afloat?
Petro Matad is a pretty small string and cardboard outfit at the moment with a skeleton staff.
Mr Buck has been very good at managing the budget. He got the last fund raise away very nicely and I'm sure if needed he could do so again.
We're waiting for LP and then Heron costs may well be met via a production/profit share deal.
Velociraptor cost are fully covered.
Not without risks of course, but if there weren't any you wouldn't be able to buy shares at 6p a pop would you.
Don't fancy the risk/reward balance at this level?
Your choice.
Mr Curiouser hope you do notvwer pant again tomorrow ;)
Be happy & dry :)
What Mr buck other successful operation?
Like to know his history
Better to have a higher risk reward company with NO DEBT.....
The alternative is you would be invested in a company with high debt to The Banks or worse still a Venture Capital investment Company..
So I was a little pi""ed off with the last fund raise and the way it was done..but "@ 6p a pop" with no debt I think its a good risk..IMO ):
