Sinterklaase. Here's hoping!!!
Interim could mean someone waiting in the wings for significant project deal to be done.
My hope is Power Arabia and Gervaise Heddle.
Bill Brodie Good at POW and Power Arabia ( private co ) who put together all UFO.L’s wonderful assets, will be finding something to keep Sean Wade and the companies he’s involved with busy. Rick Rule loving merchant banking models standing by if accretive.
Surely current asset is worth more than current market cap, and needs interim CEO to move it along.
My take on today’s RNS is that it feels like Sean Wade and the BOD have a plan and a strategy and now want to get things moving. It’s great to see words and phrases used in the RNS like “drive forward, advancement, rapidly advance, push a head at some pace, accelerate, advancing activities, plans for the business, and strategy to revitalise the Company”. It all suggest there’s a plan and we’ll soon start to see things moving. GLA
If they get an exciting new acquisition then great, but don't they already have one in the Hanetti project? So if they announce further exploration at Hanetti with POW, that will be good enough for me. In fact, isn't that what they should be doing rather than taking on a new project?

Well the KAT share price took a nosedive today on news of the proposed CEO, must admit I didn't see that coming! Personally I don't know anything about Patrick Cullen and what his background is. I can only go off todays RNS and from that I get the following facts.... Patrick Cullen has extensive geological, geophysical and mining experience; worked in junior resource exploration and major mining sectors; worked across a variety of commodities; worked across a variety of jurisdictions in North America and Europe; has extensive experience across Southern Africa where he was based for almost 20 years; he has director/board level experience in AIM listed junior explorers; and should he satisfy the new director due diligence and is appointed then he will receive share options as part of his appointment, at an exercise price of 0.2p with the amount and terms of the options to be confirmed. If we've been told the truth then he sounds like he has the right experience in the right sector and has worked in the right geographical region to manage KAT at this immediate moment in time, however I don't know how good or useless he has been in his previous posts.
The other thing I got from the RNS is the heading. The RNS heading reads....
"Proposed Director and Interim Chief Executive Officer Appointment".
From the heading my understanding would be that subject to new director due diligence completion, Patrick Cullen is to take a seat on the BOD and for the "interim" or in the short term he will take the post of CEO to manage KAT through the next phase. I may be reading it totally wrong but to me the RNS suggests Patrick Cullen is taking an "Interim CEO" post and not the post of a "Permanent CEO". Now it could be if Patrick Cullen does well in the role of Interim CEO, he will be appointed the Permanent CEO. Then again it could be the BOD already have someone in mind for the permanent post and for whatever reason they are unable to secure the appointment at this moment in time. I know it's all conjecture but I just think using the word "interim" has implications and suggests the role of a Permanent CEO hasn't been confirmed. It wouldn't surprise me if a Permanent CEO is announced later in the year. For now metaphorically speaking we'll just have to trust Patrick Cullen is capable of steering the ship without smacking into an iceberg! Today I finish with a loss in KAT but the real news will come on the Haneti Project and so I'm happy to hold as the project fundamentals haven't changed. GLA.
He's a bit of a twat then by the sounds of it
The more important news is the project and what Kat plans to do next, when and where.
The company is basically dead anyway, has been for a few years , so these guy are just in to pick the bones of the carcass
What a dreadful appointment . All that time and the best they could find is Patrick Cullen! This guy walks out of every job he holds with "immediate effect". Take a look at Arkle Resources and Tertiary Minerals. Very poor indeed and I was expecting a higher calibre CEO and a person with a better cv to be honest. Looks like nobody wanted the job, so they gave it to him.

What we saying folks?
Not followed him in his past companies, hope he is a smooth operator.
The AGM RNS will appear on Friday afternoon, no doubt thanking Louis Coetzee for his loyalty and advising shareholders all resolutions were passed. THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION IS WHAT NEWS WILL COME WITH THAT???
When Louis Coetzee finally departs Kibo Energy Plc, he will leave in abject failure the vultures with the vultures taking control each smiling while trying to stitch up the other. This is not true of Katoro, ok he leaves behind a company with losses of £10m, however Katoto is almost debt free, has £750k in the bank with an absolute jewel in the crown in the shape of Haneti. This one will fly when the news comes this week.
We should be looking to retest and breach the recent highs. Looking forward to the AGM.
Could we see 0.2p - 0.25p next week??

Had same issues with CPX...there are a few very undervalued shares that I am more than happy to be patient with
I don’t know how you can say the D crowd are coming when you got the likes of GH on board and it’s only 2 mil MCAP
The P crowd have been and gone. The D crowd are on their way.
Up ~50% now, hopefully the P&D crew don't arrive
Our neighbours have recently seen their Kabanga deposit Mineral Resource estimate attributable to Lifezone Metals of 25.8 Mt (Measured and Indicated resources) at 2.63% Ni, 0.35% Cu and 0.2% Co and additional 14.6 Mt (Inferred resources) at 2.57% Ni, 0.34% Cu and 0.18% Co each with a recovery percentage of 87.2% for Ni, 85.1% for Cu and 88.1% for Co.2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
That's a world class deposit neighbouring our licence.
Their Definitive Feasibility Study for the project is due for completion by Q3 2024.
They recrntly completed a US$50 million private placement to a consortium of marquee mining investors, led by Harry Lundin (Bromma Asset Management Inc.) and Rick Rule.
Sean has the ear of Rick Rule
Our neighbours are presently valued at 620m at a very early stage.
Could be significant value about to be unlocked here for our Haneti land package if all the parties come together. We'd be looking at an 'off the scale' re-rate for the SP here.
New BoD making moves in the background
News due.

Will be difficult to buy in size when news lands I wouldn't be surprised to see this do 100-200%+ over a trading session or two.
Even then the market cap would still be ridiculously cheap.
It's 10 x to return the SP back to the levels just a few years ago and 50 x to 2020 highs so from a chart perspective not going to be much selling pressure on the way up a steep trajectory from here.
It's previously done a 10 x bagger moves inside a year from the 2019 lows..
Won't be surprised to see the new KAT Global does something similar
Yesterday was my fourth buy since lows, tempted to keep on going until the ‘real deal’ RNS.

Just bought some more today but as usual showing as a sell. I suspect the two larger transactions today are both buys, possibly several others as well.
Getting close to major news time here.
Charlemont Capital added again - now holding 80M shares.
Well we finish on a blue day. Could do with some news though. Maybe we'll get some before the AGM on the 28th of this month or maybe everyone's waiting for Coetzee to go on 31/07/2024? Who knows? I'm just going to hold and wait as the fundamentals haven't changed and I'm still happy with my investment here. GLA

Yes SGB indeed but I fear it's too late for Kibo shareholders as it's effectively a Riverfort subsidiary, it's true what they say about swimming with sharks! What a pity Sanderson wouldn't support the shareholder group after the meetings two years ago! It could have turned out differently for everyone including Louis Coetzee. I have exchanged emails with Mr Coetzee and Mr Wade today, hoping for brighter days in KAT.
And out of kibo
Well it's finally happening! No sign of Louis Coetzee's name anywhere near the AGM notice! He was due to retire by rotation making 29th June a great day for shareholders

A newer presentation than 2021 for new investors would be really nice.
Katoro Gold PLC, up 9.3% at 0.15p, 12-month range 0.061p-0.17p. Shares in the gold and nickel exploration and development company rise. Katoro reports operating loss of GBP613,872 in 2023, narrowed from GBP1.3 million a year earlier.
what sort of imbicile wrote that, you're obviously going to have a loss if all you do is spend and you don't sell anything, all you're actually doing is compounding that loss year after year, and the only way you " narrow" that loss is by sacking your salaried staff and by doing SFA to generate income.
Whoever wrote that has a huge experience is polishing turds.
Pretax loss narrows to GBP613,860 from GBP1.3 million. Chair Sean Wade says: "Katoro has entered 2024 with a comprehensive strategy aimed at resetting the Company's trajectory. This renewed approach involves a refreshed board of directors, strategic advisory support, and a revised funding plan. We believe these combined efforts hold significant potential to unlock substantial value for our shareholders."
I have invested here because:
1. The region is abundant in natural resources.
2. Politically, it's the most stable country. Very welcoming towards foreigners- would love to visit again and see the Haneti project in action
3. The Heddle effect
Hi sinter , appreciate the reply.
For clarity I'm not involved in katoro , my personal reasons for checking out the rns, is that ibhave a large holding in pow , I simply wanted to see if there was anything new on hanetti which has been standing still for a long time now
All the best here

Completely agree that every deal LC has done has ended up a total f***ing mess he has destroyed shareholder value in Katoro, Mast and Kibo. That said it doesn't change that Haneti is a transformational project and with the idiots gone, shareholder value could be restored?
LOL Wimbo, my 27k is worth 1.6k, just as s**t as Kibo and Mast , You know we share the same pain.
Everything LC touches turns to s**t
News is very close. The results will come before the end of June but could be as early as next week. Really looking forward to a new era of a management team who no what they are doing with a transformational project.
what has been lost in all this, is that despite the **** fest created by louis coetzee's lvg & blyvoor transactions, haneti is a potentailly massive project which will could have a value of multiple times the market cap today.
this document is a little out of date but well worth reading:

10mn market cap minimum when new CEO at helm, drill program for hanetti and this new opportunity. Won't be long before we leave behind fill your boots off price.
The current market cap is £2.08m, is it so hard to imagine an £6m market cap when the current board is removed and replaced with a competent team?
After 7 years on the LSE where the current CEO has steered the company from one corporate mess to another, what is clear is that when he is finally ousted that this share will be unleashed like a coiled spring). We could see a free run above .3
Well summarised.
I remember being in MNRG, (Gervaise Heddle GGP and Paul Johnson POW) when there was a rumour EUA was going to get backed into it. I would imagine there is a master plan here for this to be used to house something new and tasty, than its current net assets.
Maybe GH knows what is coming and negotiations and due diligence is ongoing, or did he just see an opportune valuation with what we currently have.
Thinking buy the dips with money you can afford to lose is the way forward until NEWS is announced.
With less than 5 minutes of trading to go, we're second on the share risers list and up 36.84%. Should get other investors looking into KAT after today. Glad I got in very early on this one, could cash in over £1K profit today but I'm holding out for a better pay day! Looking forward to news on the appointment of a CEO, what's happening with the monies owed by LVG, update on where they are with migrating their systems out of Kibo, if they've identified any potential new opportunities, and news on Haneti. For me, Haneti being a Nickel Sulphide opportunity and not Nickel Laterite is the money maker! Our neighbours Lifezone Metals already are showing that their Kabanga Nickel Sulphide deposit is showing the potential of a Tier 1 deposit discovery, fingers crossed KAT also find the same. Christian Schaffalitzky (EUA fame) seemed excited by the previous historical explorations at Haneti. Then there's Gervais Heddle who has invested into KAT with 57 million shares and a 3% stake in KAT..... you have to ask why because he's no fool! What has GH seen that has made him invest heavily here? Also you've got Sean Wade & POW involved in KAT. With £825K in the bank and with the over due monies owed by LVG there's cash in the Bank and for projects to progress. This is going to fly!! Have a great weekend everyone and GLA.

News must be close.
0.12 PAID
Bit of early movement
Hairydavey, have you considered chucking another £1000 into the fray at current price and bringing your avg down to 0 .66p
Would get you back to profit twice as quickly. It's a risky business chasing a share price down but I've had a few great turnaround successes as well as huge losses on insolvency. Question you need to ask, is whether you believe KAT is viable - if you do you should double down. I had 1mm shares @ 2p ... by adding 10m more I can get back to breakeven at around 0.3p, which I do think is quite possible within 12mths if things go well
Someone's just bought ~12m

The white gold and Gervaise has played an ace card with perfect timing. The amount of due diligence he would have carried out on the prospects here before investing away from yellow gold projects would be very convincing I would have thought.

Sorry wrong board
I remember buying this when it was over 15p and we had none of the good news that has come since. The agreement with GE to apply our IB tech to its MRI equipment seemed a landmark deal but yet the sp languishes. This unfortunately is a sign of the dire market conditions at present and the recent discounted placing hardly helped. I strongly believe however this will come good in time and the rewards will be worth waiting for. A bit more communication from TB would help as would a director share purchase.
