Jed knows his stuff. I would rather place 1 million with him than with a gambler, who ran away from his country in its time of need, who then takes to the internet to throw racial slurs and insults at everyone.
Time you returned home to fight Pogo? Looks like Zelensky is having to concede territory to Russia because men like you ran away.
Pogo , I don't think you understand posters like me do this.
I haven't worked for about 20 years and this is a little bit of fun and interest, ok so I sold a few and maybe down about £100 on what I would have been if I hadn't of sold those few but who really cares.
ITV will drop back at some stage to maybe 77p-80p and I will buy more and feel better for it, and if it doesn't I will make on the majority of my shares as it goes up.
It's NOT all about just putting money on a stock and sitting back waiting for months for a bigger profit, where's the fun in that. you must live a very boring life.
Jedclampit
You trying to cath local minimum again, again and again.
As you can see, despite years of experience, gaining knowledge still has to hurt and cost money and years of experience mean nothing in the face of greed.
Dreams and fantasies on the stock market always end painfully and the same way.
Your money, your decision.
Hi Winstanlel , I think the next results could be better but before then I think the SP could drop back and looking at the sells on here many other posters / sellers also think that and that's why they are selling now hoping to buy back in later.
But who knows.
Pogo, you and I know that the Troll is not conservative (with a small c), he's just got the urge to spread misinformation - it's in his genes!
...and 50 or 60p is in his wildest dreams.
I agree, not the best choice, the Beeb was better on this occasion. Time now to put the politics behind us and give the new caretakers a chance.
I think we all know our political rulers are generally nasty dishonest people. Some how from this unpleasant group of people ITV managed to come up with 3 of the most repugnant for Election night. Sturgeon Osborne and Balls Who at ITV thought those 3 up. I switched over to BBC for the night. It seems the stupidity of ITV knows no bounds.
Now.

Note:(In anticipation of the local rain cloud, Tom need not reply. If he does, which we expect, just yawn and ignore him.
The good news just keeps coming!
As the game's host, ITV Studios stands to gain financially from licensing its brand to the gaming sector. The potential success of the game, indicated by its impressive revenue generation during the first month, suggests a substantial new revenue stream for ITV.
With the game available to players in multiple countries and plans to expand further, ITV's brand presence will grow internationally. This increased global footprint can enhance ITV's brand recognition and attract a broader audience.
Partnering with leading gaming companies like Entain and Playtech positions ITV as an innovator in combining entertainment with interactive gaming. This can give ITV a competitive edge in the entertainment industry, showcasing its ability to diversify and adapt to new trends.
Successful collaborations with major companies like Entain and Playtech can lead to further opportunities. ITV can leverage these relationships for future projects, ensuring continued growth and innovation in its offerings.
Overall, the partnership to launch "The Chase" live gameshow will likely enhance ITV's brand value, generate new revenue streams, expand its market reach, and position it as a forward-thinking entertainment company.

Idiots who read and quote other people's words without understanding are worse than idiots. Well, what more can you expect from a Russian troll.
The ugly Ukrainian resurfaces.
You lost 1million gambling. You have placed everything you have into one share ITV. The CEO of ITV has spoken at length on the future of free to air and how it is very uncertain and threatened by streamers. You place all your money into ITV and issues statements about increased earnings which contradict what the CEO and CFO are forecasting.
You were repeatedly dropped on your head as a baby and your compratriots are still known to wear SS regalia in public.
As we can see, there are those for whom being an idiot doesn't hurt.
Polls on public opinion of Russians and their attitudes towards Putin and the war fully confirm this diagnosis.
Winnie is desperate to silence the people who only echo what the CEO has been saying for years. ITV is vulnerable to foreign streamers. Needs government protection. Nobody is doing that and creating an environment where ITV can thrive.
The end is nigh. Never over £1 ever again. 50p by 2025.
You can exit right now Tom, you won't be missed.

3cardbrag,
You still here!!
You sold your entire holding, didn't you?
Why aren't you angling for those other fish you mentioned earlier?
Time to leave this pond, eh.
Whiny. There's only one reason they are all migrating to Labour from the Tories. It's simply that the tories won't be in power and Labour will
... and Deborah Meaden; Theo Paphitis; Carol Vorderman; Professor Brian Cox, and many many more.
One hundred and twenty business leaders have confirmed they will support Labour too!
I'm not voting Labour, I'm voting Green, but Labour will be good for the country.
I am told that Dame McCall is a supporter of Labour and is not worried by the doomsters who say the market will crash. My view is ITV are doing well and the coming interim will be a boost. As Labour are odds on to win the election, anyone selling this week to avoid a fall, should have been watching the thin volumes which suggest the opposite of a retreat in the sp. I am not a lover of Dame McCall or Kier Starmer, but the City, the Times and a lot of pundits are not at all concerned with a Labbour Government. Maybe Starmer is as close to the centre as Rishi, time for a change is needed and it doesn't bother me!

Solley. It's nothing more complicated than a belief that a Labour government with an unassailable majority will be bad for the market, at least in the short to medium term.
If things stabilise I will be back in at the right price, unlike Tom. And unlike Whiny, I don't think your average investor is stupid enough to be swayed by naysayers talking down the stock.
Sorry Winnie or is it Whiny, but I was holding itv and posting on here long before you changed your handle to the current one. Just not obsessed with it like you, and indeed you Tom with respect.
Pogo, wake up sweetie. Boris took Russian money. Is owned by Russian oligarchs and Putin proxies. The two faced liar then took money from arms manufacturers and warmongerers to scupper peace settlement and avoid the war. He has made £10 million since leaving office and is set for a life of payments for consulting work.
Russians, spreading misinformation - who'd have thought it eh?
Doomed and 60p by next results, says Tom and his many faces. Laugh at him we do - not with him!
The hatred of Boris Johnson coming from the Russian troll is understandable to all of us. It was thanks to BJ that Ukraine was given a chance to defend its sovereignty before the rest of Europe understood what the bandit and murderer Putin was up to. The Russian troll can now only pray to his master that ITV shares will reach his magic 50 pence and all of us and the whole of Great Britain will go to hell.
But any government that comes to power in Britain will not be a vassal of Putin's Russia. And no election will change that.

My image of Starmer is of him getting down on one knee inside parliament. Just like the rest of the British hating cronies within both main parties. Change is very much needed so save what is left of this once great, proud country. Well done to the French and hopefully they'll reap the rewards of a proper government.
I think we all know Starmer has run this election like a lawyer defending crooks in the dock.
Never admit anything and say what you have to to get someone off any charges, it's then not his problem if the crooks go out and do it all again.
But Maybe it will all come home to roost at some time. Or am I over thinking this.
SSSHHHHHH Jed. You are not allowed the speak the truth about how the government tomorrow will completely disincentivise investing in the stock market and drive billions in funds out from the UK.
ITV can only go up and The Dame is best mates with Sir Keir. He would never throw ITV under the approaching streamers juggernaut and abandon ITV and creative industries to foreign imports.
When Labour get in and change CGtax levels to those of normal tax rates on shares and savings we will be paying 40% on all our profits.
But I guess the good news is someone else might get the benefit for a short time until most stop buying & selling shares.
Who knows what's going to happen but it's good to see the SP making slow progress to 83p ish.
No shares go straight up and ITV looks like it has a pattern of making a few pence then going back down for a while.
So let's just forget about a huge takeover offer at the moment and keep selling a few when the SP makes 3p-4p then buy on the drops which I think this will do over the next weeks or so, in while still holding my majority stake.
And you have been desperately trying to bash this price down for ages ,goodness knows where you find the time what with all this work you do and looking after your Russian Sweetheart . Thank goodness nobody put me off investing in Rolls Royce .
Solley has been promising a takeover for 10 years. Can feel it in his waters. Male intuition. Right now Joe Biden looks more credible than Solley.
Pogo loses 1 million. That is all you need to know about our anti semite.
ITV free to air and ITVX will cease to be on air in 10 years. Doors are open to streamers who want ITV's advertising revenues. ITV BoD is too weak and ineffectual.
Exit strategies people. This is not even going near £1 ever again.
Solley1
I agree with you. I predicted that should be in next year, but all depends the total price in offer. I think that we are taking minimum about £2 per share if will be paid in cash and much more if will be paid combined in cash and in shares of company taking over ITV. In my opinion we have at this moment 3-4 groups representing this market sector which will be interested in takeover, but I will be not surprised with interest from the from large investment funds focused on maximizing profits after taking over ITV through a division and sale into parts. As I said, I do not think that large shareholders will accept a share price below £2, especially since we are currently dealing with both an undervalued ITV asset and forecasts of strong growth in the profits of the entire industry for at least the next 2-3 years. Well, time will tell. From the point of view of a potential takeover, the current small dispersion of shares and the relatively small presence of small individual investors in the capital is a great advantage, facilitating negotiations and a quick takeover. At the same time, I think that if such a one-sided offer appears, other interested parties will quickly appear. This is the effect of ITV's scale and its importance, not only in the UK market. Whoever takes over ITV will cut a large piece of the advertising pie and an even larger multimedia pie, not only in the UK. It can also become a serious player and not only local competition. So if such an offer appears, I think we will have even more interesting proposals. Against this backdrop, Murdoch's investment in TUBI should be treated as a serious signal to the largest market players and, contrary to trolls, as even greater market interest in ITV shares. But trolls know better....
If you are thinking about today's price at 83.05. I think that buying over 4 million shares after 16.30 with a price 0.5 pence over last transaction and on the year's high level is looking very nice.
I have had Itv through thick and thin since before the first takeover rumour that all three were after them . Just a month ago I really set into them with another big buy as with the way things are moving surprisingly so I do think there must be something in the wind hapening at this moment in time .
Last post: trupcard, 4 Jul 2024 00:05
You are sounding desperate never be a pound again is a bold statement in hope for your short at50p sad really
Always thought this might go to 82p-85p before the election, but it's what happens after that could be interesting.
It will either rocket to £1 and I will make good money on the shares I still hold or it will fall back a bit and I will make on my buy in top up.
Now there are going to be many who say I should have held all and made even more on a big rise but where's the fun in that !!!!!
There must be something in Itv and tv in general if this is about to happen .
Disappointing. I read the news early this morning but then went into London for a busy day of work. I expected some good and informed debate on this forum but almost nothing. This could be a game changer for ITV in the way that SKY also changed British TV and sport forever.Murdoch empire has the power to change media landscapes.
Nothing here though. Same old Pogo gibberish. The other place which I thought was the home of the crackpots were discussing Tubi for most of the morning. Really sad.
This could be the end of ITV as a free to air broadcaster. Murdoch does not need to take over ITV. Just squeeze it out of business with a streaming platform.

I saw what I think was the first episode on ITV last night. Successful youtube and sky production. It was excellent.
I wish ITV would do more talk shows with people who are experts in their fields but I guess the cost is way too high.Beats watching love island contestants or politicans in a jungle who are then edited.

The closest we will get to a mea culpa and apology from the Ukrainian deserter/coward? He told people to wrongly buy this week.
Hang your head in shame Pogo. Not only are you causing financial losses but you are continuing with your r@cist slurs despite being educated as to why it is not appropriate to use such words.
Unfortunately, looking at the daily performance of ITV's share price , I hope the buyback will start again next week... next month. Have a nice weekend for all real ITV shareholders and investors. Rats to their holes and football fans to their TVs. I personally support the English and Georgian national teams.
Daydreaming yet look at the 12 month low. That is the reality. This share can move any way and to deny that is to live in Pogo land.
You're daydreaming again Tom.
Winnie what was the price before the Dame started injecting steroids into the SP with buybacks? 60p or thereabouts.
Once she has burnt through the proceeds of Britbox sale she will need to find more assets to sell or the markets will start to sell off ITV and the SP retreats back to 60p.
Maybe as soon as 100m is left the shorters will start the game of betting against ITV again. For now they are quiet and many of them were caught out and burnt. They will want to recooup the money they lost.

Looking at the turnover up to 11.30 - around 370k ITV shares and the range of orders 81.05-81.25 I think you have to be really determined to sell shares today. Which does not mean that after the first round of general election in France on Monday it will not be cheaper ( but looks that Paris and CAC are no longer particularly afraid of this results). The only question is "are you sure?" "how cheap" and possibly "will it be used". Well, each of us risks something.....

Pogo's end of week prediction was 80.5 to 84p? Next week it is 88p.
I make more this week in dividends from Shell and BP than Pogo will make all year from this FTSE 250 failure.
Pogo is online taking the fight to imaginary Russian trolls when he should be in the frontline defending his home country. I left London at 18 to fight for a country a thousand miles away.
In life, I always find it funny when someone is hurt by the state of my bank account, and especially my potential (according to this person) losses. Why am I writing about this? Well, after all, the trolls on this forum have such an impact on the results achieved by ITVX that their reluctance to watch broadcasted sports programs or TV series will certainly translate into the viewership results. As well as their opinions. And of course, on the level of the share price and, consequently, we ITV investors should implicitly sell these shares as soon as possible. Especially since these 60 pence, and in reality these repeatedly repeated since January or February 50 pence and even much lower in a few years until ITV's bankruptcy - still hang over the ITV share price. Our Russian troll is trying his hand not only at the role of a prophet but also a professional psychologist. And life... well, goes on. And the ITV share price similarly, calmly at its own pace. For careful observers, we have the end of the month, another month of growth and the reshuffle in the portfolios of large institutional investors at the end of the quarter should not come as a surprise. After all, they will be the ones to decide when we finally return to the level of £1.2 per ITV share and they must be ready for it.
The end of the week and the ITV share price are rather in line with my forecasts, so we need to gather strength for July. ITV will probably not spoil the mood of us investors and will actually improve the valuations of our portfolio.
Watch closely enough and you will see me at the tennis. I have tickets for day 1. Will be in the queue and posting on here for a few mornings.
The tennis at Eastbourne been pretty good watching and Wimbledon coming up all keeping viewers eyes on the Tele.

"Do they have any potential other than the current dismal performances?"
=============================================================
Arguably they have some of the best players in the world playing for arguably some of the best teams. But football is about playing as a team....they have started poorly in previous tournaments, found their mojo and finished strongly. We live in Hope.
Do they have any potential other than the current dismal performances?
"England v Slovenia clocks up ITV’s biggest audience of 2024 with 15.4m peak"
===================================================================
I'm not sure 15.4m diasappointed viewers is what ITV or the advertisers were hoping for. Let's hope the performances improve. But I suppose to some extent we don't care as long as they win. But more people are likely to watch if they start playing to their potential.
Viewing figures is the only language that advertisers recognise. It all bodes well.
Aye Winnie, and another bumper viewing figure day on Sunday on ITV for the last 16 game😊😊
