This gets interesting when it breaks 80p. Will Move pretty quick when it does.
KBW101 - yes indeed.
Back on 03 Mar 2022 - there was a large fall with the day recording a high of 110 and low of 81, chart pic below.
This was basically a gap down with no price discovery between these wide apart levels.
That would suggest potentially little resistance once we get back into that range, ie over 81p.

I am all for 80p+ but so far today their have been about 5 times more sales than buys. I have enough shares in itv at the moment, would have to sell other shares to buy more itv, will only do this if SP drops below 70p
What’s caused the fall?
Profit taking - ITV up over 12pct in the past month so profit taking was always on the cards - fund managers worldwide now waking up though to how undervalued some UK stocks are - if they are not valued properly they will be valued accordingly - IDS is living proof of this and playing out in front of your eyes today - follow the money
gla dyor etc
Thanks Carrington. If the IDS deal is allowed then most definitely it could happen to ITV. I know there have been people on here saying it wouldn’t be allowed but if Royal Mail goes then nothing is off the table.
Sean, I believe the Gov have given the green light on IDS already, with Kretinski doing his due dilligence before the initial offer was made - don't see any issues with the Gov re ITV - in terms of takeovers National security is the prime consideration in terms of who is doing the takeover, so countries like for example Iran, Iraq, China etc would be prohibited, having said that the VOD/3 MOBILE merger looks like it may well go ahead and I believe there were network links with these at some point to the Chinese company Huawei - so no issues for ITV me thinks
gl dyor etc
Thanks Carrington. That makes sense.
Well done Carrington and others on your good fortune with the IDS takeover by Kretinski! Looks like a lot are in line for 60% returns if they bought in at 225 or less. Wow.
You could do a lot worse than recycling your profits into an ITV position - and hoping to do the takeover double this year perhaps… :)
BigE - I am already in ITV matey, been adding to my position here for over a year - now starting to pay off - still cheap imo - my target is 100p and I will be adding the dividends to my holding next week
gl dyor etc
Nice holding here for me and her indoors! Nicely up and Divs coming.
Happy to sit on the fence here at the moment whilst the dunderhead is at the helm. Just don't trust the SP to go much further as watched so many times a decline to the 60's when expecting the opposite.
Got 20k to invest when the inevitable happens.
Good morning omalley, I feel the same as you on this.
I am sitting on cash just waiting to buy more but a little afraid to buy at this price knowing what's happened in the past. I have for the last few weeks been looking at both VOD and BT and thought I will buy at 64p and £1.06 but wanted to wait for the results. Sod's law kicked in and blow me down both have now shot up and I could have made another few grand but now have to sit and wait. also want to buy back in to MCG and Card for divi. Why is it that when we are sitting on cash in our trading accounts earning nothing we want to buy something for the gamble. What a game. Anyway I bet ITV will come back down to 72p ish and I will strike.
Precisely Jed. I'll wait until ITV drops to a level worth taking on and if it doesn't I've still got a fair chunk in here anyway.
Just can't throw anymore at it at the moment purely because of the useless board milking the business via us.
I'm looking elsewhere like you.
GL
I am hoping for sub 60p again here this year. That is where the real money is to be made now. 60p to 70p rises.
Now now Tom. You know that's going to provoke a response........
To think about..:
The holders of the real short positions on ITV shares may be a little surprised when buybacks come back into play.
Small little Russian troll still trying to make a rubbish on this forum.... However, he/she/it no longer recommends investing in Shell shares ... after a 5% loss since the last buy recommendation on May 13th. The "troll" job means also encourages wonderful investments at the expense of ITV sales. Bringing others to the level of thinking of an idiot, which we represent ourselves, is typical of trolls.
Is this the reason for our correction in ITV shares yesterday? I don't think so, but always nice to find any chance to "squeezing lemon".
"Reality stars charged for promoting sham trading scheme. A horde of reality TV stars have been charged by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for promoting an unauthorised foreign exchange trading scheme via Instagram. Geordie Shore's Scott Timlin, multiple The Only Way is Essex stars and Love Island contestants such as Rebecca Gormley and Eva Zapico were all found to have been involved in the scheme. The FCA charged Emmanuel Nwanze for running an unauthorised investment programme which saw advice given on buying and selling contracts for difference, which it was not permitted to do. The 'fiinfluencers' were accused of promoting the Instagram account which issued the unauthorised advice and will stand before Westminster's Magistrate Court in June."
Pyongyang pontificator mocks my Shell and BP buys??? Do I need to remind you that in 2020 people laughed at me here when I was buying Shell at sub £10. Told me that Shell was not going to recover anything like as much as ITV.
My money in Shell will earn more in dividends and growth in the next 4-5 months than Pogo's will in ITV. Come October I will buy back here and buy back maybe as much as 20% more in share volume.
Tom,
Re: 'Do I need to remind you that in 2020 people laughed at me'
Nobody needs any reminders, Tom - we always laugh at clowns - especially ones like you that talk utter made-up b/s.
October 2020 if you care to look. I was being mocked for investing in Shell only for them to drastically reduce the dividend. Nigeco laughed at my £9.40 investment, then quoted me as below:
"Tom.......... "Some of you prefer fantasy to real world.
Tom........ "I am looking to the recovery. ITV has a ceiling of £1.20 max. That will not be seen for 5 years (most of the old boys here will have been cremated). Rdsb will be £16 by Christmas. £22 by next summer. My £9.40 buy in will double in 6 months. Added advantage is shorters can barely move UKs biggest company, so less stupid games to watch."
Who's the dreamer Tom?????"
Still smells of b/s.
It doesn’t like the look of that 80p.
60p before it gets over 80 :)
Winnie is soiling her pants all over again hence she can only smell the one thing.
SP dropped to 90p after announcement of investment in ITVX. It was 120p before that announcement. Now that the investment is done SP should fly back to atleast 90p. With buybacks now in place there will be support for SP to get back to 90p and above.
