And of course you can if you take into account shares issued.
Just take the pre pandemic price and divide by 0.4 or multiple the current share price price by 2.5 will give you the approximate answer. Vs pre issue price.
Buy backs was 27m and 15m shares just not material.
*their peak (not there)
We cannot lookk back at pre-hysteria period. None of that matters now, as nearly every company/ business did a RI or sharesplit or similar to raise capital.
We have to look at post 03/2020 to see any real changes, even then some companies did another RI or stock splits upto and including this year.
We have to ignore historical sp's, as they have no baring on today's prices.
As for IAG , I think there peak during the pandemic was @2.20, not sure we will see that again for a while.
About 5.0b in issue now give or take the buy backs were not big.
How does the 2 share buyback programmes effect those figures
2.9b new shares issued 2020 taking total to 5b shares.
Means the current share price is = to 3.75 in 2019... there's the issue.
Target £2.40 ie about £6.00 pre corvid.
I was thinking this was a late shown trade as very big trades do not have to be shown for up to 10 days.
Trouble is the sp has been no-where near 182p for at least a year.
I'm baffled. Must be some sort of error. Someone has hit an 8 instead of a 5. I think it should have said 152p!!!
It's not 182
Use your head for a second, its a straight line between two data points, after hours.
It happens sometimes with the reported share prices
Most likely, we will open at maybe 152
Clearly will spill over here
Ha ha ha. I use Google current time share price, and it's normally pretty good, so when I stumbled in from the pub, I thought - whey hey! Must be some incredible RNS that has led to a rerate. Sadly not.
Still more chance of me sleeping with Kyles, or winning the lottery (and I've never bought a ticket) than this mongrel abortion coming good.
fordm - you are so right about the "analysis" of rags like "The Motley Fool". Beyond parody.
Been a while since you mentioned your koi pond - hope it is now a heated Olympic sized pool.
PS - when I said I've never bought a ticket, I meant for the lottery, not for the chance to sleep with Kylie.
I should be so lucky....
Also 182 on BBC text service
AAL bombing though I guess based on reduced eps predictions and heading towards COVID lows. It seems a crazy state of affairs. I just pray IAG doesn't get dragged down too. Making money here is proving more difficult than it should be, given the recovery in air travel.
Maybe from the massive amounts of after hours trades and UT's? Some big numbers buying and selling...
Yes. Shows on ii too
Yes I saw/see it too.. Wouldn't it be nice but unlike some peoples preedictions it will be a while before we see this sort of SP. Certainly not this year.
Yes, saw that. Nearly s*** myself but I now see a late trade for 290k shares at 16:48 for 182p! Not sure of the relevance.
Anyone else catch this on googlefinance? I've taken a screen shot so that many years from now I can say I actually saw it...
Must be a glitch or someone playing with us..
I'd be surprised if the Saudis/Russians pumped more at this stage. We're at the point where the US is turning a blind eye to the Iranians exporting to China in order to suppress prices. Might see some movement next year if the US applies pressure in the run up to the election, but I wouldn't bet on the Saudi's to budge. They're after $100 to balance the books for building their new toy city.
I too read that post, he was saying effectively; "If the sp goes up, it will go up, and if it goes down, well it will go down".
Analysis like that is hard to come by...
You do what you feel in your gut. I wish I did more often.
Don't take advice from these tabloid investors, they flip flop more than my koi when I used to take them out of the pond.
Where are you getting this info?
Furthermore I have 15000 shares tied up in RR but I brought them at 1 pound a share when they tanked, and brought 500 shares with Amazon at around 100 pounds each, it’s a shame iag didn’t move upwards the same but you can’t win them all I guess
Each to their own but nothing but bullish here for a rerate and a dividend return
