Have been invested here for a couple of years and mostly reading from the sidelines from the many knowledgeable people here.
My question is what is likely to happen first. I presume newmont will want to see proof of funding before accepting any bid, whether from GGP or elsewhere. Or would terms be agreed first, so GGP know what they need to raise, but how could they agree terms if not guaranteed to have the capital in place? How are things likely to be played out? If another major came in, I presume there would be a deadline where GGP must raise funds by and match. Would you expect a third party, if interested, to be speaking to both GGP and newmont?
Ace when it comes to investing it is always a gamble as you can lose money overnight and not just on AIM
Why I've never spoken about GGP as something I expect to be invested in for decades, I move from main market to more speculative stocks as macro and other factors suggest to me and had I followed usual playbook I would have sold in early 2021 here...
If in future no matter whatever the SP goes too and it makes sense to sell here using my usual strategies I will in future. Newmont was not immune to the last few years sentiment alo g with GGP and neither will either be in future if mining, market or asset sentiments depress them
I've built such a better understanding of valuations and LC and PPSS now that I'm confident I won't be repeating the same mistakes in future. The SP might reach 50p by year end but I'll still consider not having sold in 30's as poor judgement tbh
Why? Because one random decision by the adjudicator/s in Option Exercise might have pinned us even lower down than the valuation we 'won' with and I suspect we'd have been gobbled up by now.
Never leave things to chance and go against proven models , lesson learnt, absorbed and will be acted upon if lucky enough in future to sit through another similar journey. Never been afraid to admit when I've been wrong ;-)
So you are just a punter like the rest dip, after all 😁 based on some good "homework" of course
Thanks for the response Dip, events seem to have overtaken us since the discovery at Hav all those years ago, so many twists and turns since we were a humble explorer. Nobody would ever have guessed we would more than likely end up with the whole lot.
I’ve held this long with the hope of life changing gains, but now fear they will be replaced by moderate gains depending on people’s entry point. This by no means blaming SD or GGP, but more a reality I fear, that comes with the need for massive amount of cash.
I still hold the hope that Shaun can work some magic to alleviate or offset any dilution.
Hi Antigua - if teh company grows as expected then PI's will lose their collective influence at some point - as much as you can ever expect PI'sto have uniform opinions and strategies :-)
As long as we have had growth when that happens I'll be fine but yep, there are always scenario's where a deal may be less profitable for PI's hence the current SP and lack of volume etc. and the market awaits an outcome to be judged.
We'll soon find out how much or how little we've been considered I guess, was a risk I thought deeply about about in deciding to hold on after divestment by NEM vs jumping back in if i liked the deal but I really do think it will be possible to swing an accretive deal given the Hav economics and Telfer see-saw of remediation vs offering quick production for Hav - so have decided to take the gamble as such.

Typo: Should read ELIZABETH GAINES. She serves as a Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chair at GGP. She is also GLOBAL AMBASSADOR FOR FORTESCUE. Her accolades are legendary. Who could have guessed? Nice. 4.7.24.
Ah, long time no speak. Just dropped in to say hello. I recall the days of THE SUNDAY TIMES RICH LIST, Mr Beetham on this forum with his 6% stake in GGP. Ah, all the naying folks have gone and now, the LEGENDARY ELIZABETH GAINS is a Director of GGP of FORTESCUE CEO fame in Australia. Now, Andrew Forrest , one of Australia's richest men who runs his own private co called WYLOO is the largest shareholder of GGP. How times have changed when the naying folks were here with me, Beetham, Tom etc. News. 4.7.24.

Benrumpson @ 16:04 - Brilliant post - pure comedy mate. Nice one.
I am very concerned about the future of this country!
This morning I heard on TvAm someone asked if they could use their Tesco club card as photo ID and then pottersfield said anyone who voted conservative is a paedo and these people have a say in how our country is run!
We are Doomed 😂
Anyway back to Ggp , very low volume today and the past few weeks it’s got to be getting close now!😊🍾🚀🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾

Hi All. Gold has doubled in price in 5 years but the HUI has only seen roughly 40% in the same time. Miners FCF is leveraged up as gold rises. so a 60% gain to bring us level is not enough, i can easily see a 200% gain for producers and that is with the POG staying where it is and the chances of that is minimal. The big institutions have still not pushed the buy button for the miners or gold. When they do watch out above. ATB Speedy

Jeez I can’t remember the last time I saw any significant trading days here. Yet again another very quiet day with upto now only 372,000 shares traded. Looks like folks are just watching & waiting to see what transpires over so many scenarios that could be played out. Even the so called shorters have stopped dropping bombs, which hopefully is a good sign that somethings about to be announced.

You have put so much into our board that IMHO is absolutely remarkable for just one member and is cherished by us all.
I hope all GGPERS kindly support your input as it is way beyond normal contribution from anyone and I think GGP / Shaun and team owe you a fabulous thank you.
Bet Paddy G is also proud of your effort and the GGP chat board / Liam :-)
Thanks so much and God bless !

Back-filling (if elected) can be a work in progress, so to speak.
Ah just found out , looks like they will be concreting over the liner/repair from the 16th July, so not backfilling yet.
Nice and ready for Greatland to take it over
Hi ace
Yes looks like they may be near the end, I’m not sure whether they will leave it open or backfill it.
Making good progress then.
Thanks for that Bamps.

Like to think so - if not sooner.

Just looking in and I’m thinking about the messages Greatland continue to put out to the world at large .
Which is ; to fund and develop Havieron to completion.
I’m liking those few choice words.
Fund and develop Havieron to fruition in other words.
Fruit and gold nectar of the Gods we hope !
It’s been a long time coming. I sense something good in the air.

And there is an old miners saying "where you find salt you find gold" 😁
Very informative Bamps. Thanks very much 👍
Hi Chuffchuff
The Lower aquifer is in a layer of Tillite , this is rubble from melting glaciers. This Tillite post dates the ore body and is the product when Australia was joined to Antarctica and nearer the South Pole. As Australia moved to the NW the ice sheet melted.
Over millions of years the Tillite was covered by layers of silt and sand compressed into stone. There was also one more layer of Tillite laid down probably after the Snowball event which turned the Earth white. Other layers of clays were laid on top creating more pressure on the Lower Tillite compacting it into a strong rock but porous enough to hold water. The water could not enter the basement rocks and got trapped in this confined aquifer.
This water is ancient it’s either washed down from upper layers and got sealed in, this could have leached salts out and taken it down to the aquifer.
The aquifer is hypersaline indicating it’s full of salts making the rock environmentally unfriendly for using on roads etc but is intended to be used to cover the waste rock mound. When the satellite images show this mound going white we will know they are in the Tillite.
High salt levels are not good for health reasons and certainly will corrode rubber seal on the hydraulics.
Salt also affects cement, so sulphate resistant cements will be used in the shot crete if not already being used.
Shaun says they’ve identified a shorter route to get through this layer quicker and into the basement levels. Good job too!
Could you explain a bit more about salinity Bamps. Assuming both pressure and volume are no longer an issues is it because salinity degrades equipment or is there another impact with salinity that needs mitigation?
The drawings for the 3 new evaporation ponds were approved in April since then they have stated that these ponds may now not be required and only constructed as and when.
These ponds are twice the area of the other 3 and deeper/higher.
This cost saving is going to be a lot if they’re not required.
Think about that if these ponds are twice the size and may not be required, then there is a great chance of no major issues going through that aquifer apart from the salinity.

Yes and no. If we had good volume like we did back in 2020, there is value to be taken from them. Right now its pointless in my opinion as its obvious to see we're within a range awaiting key catalysts.
Charts as meaningless for companies like us in the stage we are at.
Swazers, you just keep adjusting it every time it doesn't do as you're implying it will. With all due respect, I don't rate your recent charts.
I am still bullish on the charting idea I drew back in May this year. It's just taken longer than expected to break out. https://x.com/SwazersC/status/1808066773540860378 https://www.tradingview.com/x/bm5UhrY2/

We are domain hosting and reselling agents, and some companies do register 'extra' domain names that they don't plan to use, but to stop others from 'owning' them, so that's a possibility, but as you say, it's very unusual for anything public to be put out including those registered domains if they don't plan on using them, so yes, I'd take it as a very possible teaser. 😊👍🏻🤞🏻
Not long now is so true.
Drips of information speeding up in my circles. Interesting hands from all over are now showing !
Funny that !
In recent X posts, the company have shared URL's which aren't active.
1. www.greatlandgold.com.au - not active, registered but no further information.
2. www.greatlandresources.com - not active, registered to the company.
There is a clearly a reason for the new URL's, of which we don't know. But with the company sharing them now, I feel we won't have long to find out why.

I think this older RNS may indicate their thinking, on timing, FS, ASX listing and reason for it.
https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/GGP/corporate-update-s4jnz76pog01to3.html
Not the right type of ore for Telfer and too far away.
Not only have they a plant to build there are tailings dams, waste rock mounds, leach pads all will need environmental approvals.
Where’s the copper!
I can only think that Greatland are very keen at this particular financial stage to have the Feasibility Study available to support any application for further funding from the banks, for capex, in line with the circumstances of the previous debt financing arrangements, which on the face of it requires the FS before those funds can be released. In the meantime, they rely on the Wyloo facility to see them through this year ( or so ) at 30%.

Bamps, have you got the OLD map of EG showing it in relation to the M25? I couldn't find it.
The last RNS of EG showed the Mount Smith licence with grant of approval plus heritage clearance.
On the plan it shows all the licences Meadows and Mt Smith plus the ones in application but it missed Empress, it wasn’t shown. Since that date an application has gone in for it on 24th May. Empress was drilled by Callum and had some gold recorded in the logs which looked very promising.
https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/greatland_gold/news/rns/story/xzedeex
It’s the continuation of the Banded Iron formation that runs to the SE of Mount Smith with Westwood out on the East.
Carnegie the nickel target has still not been reapplied for which is in the centre.
Ernest Giles is getting bigger 🙂
Last post: Bamps21, 2 Jul 2024 08:45
Someone is busy , there are 2 new licences applied for. One is attached to Woodlands to the SE following the anticline target on Woodlands, there is a producing gold mine a bit further to the east of these 2.
The other licence is to the SE of Woodlands, the central part of this has a separate application from another company who sell on their licences or take a percentage.
Woodlands is getting bigger 🙂
There are 3 licences on Yannarie the northerly one is on the road and the village/ township is in that licence.
The adjoining smaller licence to the east has just been applied for.
Yannarie is getting bigger 🙂

Hi Ben
They paid Aus.$750,000 plus $42m Aus in shares which worked out at 17% dilution
Bamps put an excellent post on WhatsApp about Strickland buying a mine in Serbia 5.4oz for $750m Aus and $40m in shares .
Food for thought!
Still like the possible deal with Cash and equity with Newmont, but how that would fit with Wyloo/Twiggy not sure.
Yep good points droverman. The JV was far from ideal but there have been many explorers over the years who’ve got great discoveries and tried to make the giant leap from explorers to producers and run out of road. Now that same JV has put GGP in a great position to become a producer as circumstances have aligned in our favour. Now it’s up to our heavyweight board to seal the deal and justify their positions!
MH does bring some relevant and sometimes insightful posts although he comes across as an accountant who works in the public sector which may explain why he has time to post regularly so no complaints from me😀

Greatland Gold
Dean Horton has commenced their role as Greatland Gold’s chief financial officer (CFO), bringing over 25 years’ experience to the company.
Greatland said Horton’s appointment will help deliver the full potential of the Havieron gold-copper project located in the Paterson Province of Western Australia.
This includes a completed feasibility study, execution of project debt finance, completion of development and into commercial operations.
In May, Greatland revealed its interest in consolidating ownership of Havieron after Newmont announced in February it would divest its stake in Havieron. Greatland currently owns 30 per cent of the project, with Newmont holding the balance.
“Dean is a great addition to Greatland’s already strong management team and we are delighted he has joined us,” Greatland managing director Shaun Day said.
“His depth and breadth of experience, particularly in project debt financing, further enhances our capability to optimise and complete the funding and development of Havieron.”
Monique Connolly, who was acting CFO, will remain in Greatland’s senior leadership team as general manager finance.
“I would like to express my sincere thanks to Monique Connolly for her stewardship of the finance team as acting chief financial officer over recent months, and my congratulations for her appointment as general manager finance,” Day said.

Tomeee Yipeee, Boozeee, It's not the 1970's mate.
Despite Mh01 and my disagreements, I think it perfectly acceptable for MH01 to follow whatever he likes during his working day. He gets his job done - what's the problem?
You seem to think we still live in Dickensian times.
You are, yet again, coming across as someone who is really bitter about something. Were you sacked over and over because you annoyed fellow employees in the mail room with tales about getting rid of the 3 Rolls Royce's to free up some space in the garage in order to build a distillery?
I actually feel embarrassed for you.
Finally remind your rude post at 16:31🙄
MH, by the way if your company find out about your waste of their time and space maybe you will be retired early and become old too, and that’s for sure 😢
MH hi, no I only replied as you said you were at work.
So tell me how can you spend so much time on your employers time reading this board for hours and then sending over 25 + replies to others posts as you post all day long ??????? For WEEKS?????
I do hope some of your managers spot your waste of your firm’s time.
Have a nice day and I am glad you do not work for my company.
Tomeee is on the alcohol again. Best to ignore him. He does get very nasty at times. Not sure what his problem is, other than the drink of course!
