So if the wrong party is elected it will be an easy out to say NO.
I think the decision to delay his deliberation was to not politicise it. If he does say no after the general election , he would be politicising it after making it clear that there were no grounds for refusal on any environmental issues.
I think this is wrong for one simple reason, the decision should be made on the grounds of the policies in place at the time of the hearing, not those that "may" be in place in the weeks, months and years ahead depending on which political party is in place.
So by delaying the decision it is being politicised.
The delay is because planning decisions are in purdah during a GE. Not the inspectors choice.
Within 6 days I think of the end of the inquiry the inspector must publish the date the decision will be published. The 'decision' has already been made and it will not be changed regardless of the outcome of the election. I would expect the decision to be published on the 13th December which as it happens is my birthday, Thanks for the present!
Dream on by name, dream on by nature! This is just another excuse to delay, nothing more. Does the whole country grind to a halt when an election is called - no of course not. It is just an excuse. Earliest production end 2020. No farmout in Ireland. Nothing realistic in the pipeline. Management taking the cash every month. Dopes, thats what we are. Completely written off this investment. 3p and sell the lot. Taken for a ride by the board.
Not an excuse, clearly states in GOV.UK that at election time any contentious planning appeal decision will not be published until after the election. If the 6 week publication rule applies that should mean the result will be out between 13-20 Dec.
You're right Serif, the planning officer must delay his findings and decision as he is in purdah of the upcoming elections as it may influence the way local and national electors vote.
All it really means is that it won't be before the 12th December. It could well be the end of the year but the 13th would be a nice Christmas pressie.
Come on blokes and gals, lets not go back to the old Rudey days of personal insults flying about. Its almost the season of goodwill. GLA
VHB hes a complete clown. Never posts anything constructive. Just drivel about sacking all of the board. To lazy to actually look at the bigger picture why we have had delays in the farmout process. Wressle delay, well thats europa's fault to even tho they are not the licence operator.
I agree with you but one voice of dissent means one post, if it then becomes a personal attack of several nasty rude replies back and forth, that could be off putting to prospective investors it could be said. Personally, when I invested a few £k, actually lots of £k many years ago, then added some, it was never a consideration of mine as to where I put my hard earned by being influenced by board posters. I wasn't investing in them, just the Company that I had conducted due diligence and hopefully wisdom. I would most certainly never sell my investment out because of a personal squabble on a chat board.
I said many times, I'm here to the death, If I leave before that, I would have got it wrong and nobody likes to be wrong.
I think that's why many posts end in DYOR isn't it.
Anyway, GLA, peace on earth and goodwill to all men. Ringo got it right
VHB, of course any B B will attract contributors as you mention. The problem is that if there are any here, what is their objective. We have nothing of any real consequence onshore and certainly no threat to any new discoveries as was Holmwood, at least not in comparison to the prize that may be in Inishkea. The Surrey set defeated us, there's no doubt about that, I still feel wounded.
If you're having a pop at OTF by referring to them as a friend of the earth, I think you're wrong, I've taken time to look at their postings from the start, EOG is their only posting and I honestly think they are a dissollusioned investor that can't afford to bail yet. I say that because of some of their replies to swampy, also to Jus and Rudey. Both good posters but both driven away because of conflict. It did get tiresome to read at the time, not nice at all read.
Many things I agree with, many I don't but I'm not going stoop to insults and sniping, not at this ripe old age. Mind you I was close to it with the Holmwood conflict, don't prod the bear though.
Anyway , it is what it is, GLA.
I've had a cracking end to the year, news here would be the icing on the cake. I'm sure my long term investment here will bear fruit very soon. I'm looking at low double figures. Hang on OTF
Good luck
VHB, to be honest, I don't think what people write on these BB's moves the dial at all on the share price. What does is activity-driven announcements. I leave you to guess where I stand on how to create that activity going forward. At 2p I feel as though I have very little to lose by going on the offensive against poor performance.
People have bought huge ammounts at this boards worst behaviour, I don't believe it influences anyone.
The thing is also, LTH's here are well under water. Only this time 2 years ago the share was trading around 3 times today's price. Longer term holders are looking at much worse numbers, unless they averaged down and of course averaging down is akin to gambler's ruin by buying more shares when nothing is fundamentally changing. There is no point me getting out now, I have stupidly lost a shedload on Hugh, so the only satisfaction I get is to try to get them to change things and step up to the plate. Perhaps if we are still in this parlous state at the end of the tax year I can sell and recover some tax losses. However, I do not rule out another placing before then just to twist the knife a little more!
We have over £3M in the bank; we won't have a placing next year for sure, if Wressle is approved then I don't envisage another placing again; we will be producing oil from Wressle by July next year.
Famous last words!!!
IMHO
