News to me.....😔🤨😛🤪
Ive lumped in again, usually a good sign when Board members buy lots of shares. GG
It was actually the Chairman, not the CEO, but principle remains the same. The CEO also has a large stake and the fact that Board members are investing is a positive sign.
Even odder is that the CEO bought 35million shares, OK only 50k... but that is a major increase in his holding.
That has to be a positive?? But the SP went down.
So others sold but the CEO bought... he maybe wrong but there's a reason that following directors dealing is usually a good idea
LSE make me laugh. They've reported the 35m share purchase on the 28th by a director as "unknown" despite publishing the RNS today, you couldn't make it up!

I'm grateful for Ian
Let's hope Gareth Southgate is not an investor
Briggs is the saddest of these on here - no shares, but a delusional passion for vengeance entices this flawed individual to post here daily.
Any bad news is quoted - accurate or, as in most case, just made up spurious drivel! It's so obvious how badly Briggs misses what he could have had.

More clutching at straws, Interestking?
Nas - Sorry to lose you mon ami.
You have been a source of good research; indeed Argerich info for example and I am very grateful for your input.
I am not defending our situation because I too was waiting for a positive from ARG and it is disappointing.
I would like to point out that the geological/techtonic analysis of Namibian comparison is not reflective of Argentina being much of a correlation.
Uruquay is much stronger as an argument for a "mirror reflection."
Good luck to you Nas and hope to hear from you again sometime.
Cheers.
IK.

Nas - absolutely correct.
If only geoscans etc. (which confirm potential ore/oil sources) could be spot on all the time!
Life would be grand. Argentina isn't Uraquay - but let's wait for another duster, before bailout....
🙂
"It doesn't bode well". Maybe not but one Swallow doesn't make a Summer and one duster doesn't make a desert. I doubt all the majors are now packing up shop from one drill result.
All the best
Unfortunately and disappointingly the Argerich -1 well was a complete duster which doesn't bode well for the Uruguayan prospects in my opinion, so I'm out at a loss, good luck to all those still holding.

RE: Next news?

I think the most important recent news is the dry wells in the Argentina basin.

GarryGraham i don’t dispute facts but as you are a claimed shareholder here and a claimed Manchester City fan I’m intrigued to know if you joined the celebrations for the recent Premier League title with a huge 115 banner ?
( 115 is number of charges currently being pursued by PL against Man City. ) - I’m not personally that interested in the issue just find it rather perverse that a shareholder would want to make a special point of highlighting these issues in this way - ` DUST ‘ !
JohnBriggs, are you really this sad of an individual?
Sorry JB, I'm not of that ilk. I merely commentated on what are unusual happenings. I've been around this share a long time, lost a fair bit but recently banked some profits and now sitting on rest of shareholding and liking what I see. I accept a lot of us have been burned in the past but happy to back my judgment in Uruguay.
JohnBriggs - perhaps posters here are already aware you’ve assumed the role of board doom prophet and don’t want to detract from your cathartic experience!

Laughing my head off at the "excitement" caused by the smallest upward movement in the SP from the same posters who never acknowledge any of the falls. Top up, Top up, get your punter money in before the train leaves the station LOL

SP falling
12 Jun 2024 09:09
After all the "good" news for shareholders, I wonder how many are beginning to wonder why SP is falling - who knows something you don't?

Several large deals - 9m, 5m×2, 4m, 2.5m, 2m etc - with more than a day's volume by lunchtime. c48m.
The Uruguayan government must be about to approve the Chevron farming and the news is leaking out.
I can't think what else would be driving the share price up right now.
They are quite a few hours behind us so we may even see an RNS this afternoon when their government offices open for business.
The next leg up was due, as I mentioned in my previous post. It’s the same pattern that began in October last year. It’ll continue to rise into news and beyond. Hope you topped up when I did. Approval any day now.
