Ducati 2, all covid19 tests are needed!
Boots test £120 a test!!! WoW that's expensive!
Carl's test was aimed to be comparable with existing tests! So, how much are PCR, LAMP tests?
The test assay from Primerdesign (PCR) is probably sub £12. But add all the people involved and the time then what is the final cost of a PCR test? That's one question for your MP to raise in the House!
This is an interesting development.
We now have a target price!
Carl's test is less than 300 seconds, sensitive and specific.
Speed and price will be the differentiator.
Carl's test has them both!!
After the discussion on Avacta on this BB this weekend, new tests, school meals, argument with Burnham over £5M, second wave NOW and PR of a vaccine makes you pause and wonder about an LFT in Q21.....
Are the goalposts moving?? Hopefully, not as I am invested in Avacta. But, I need to ask the question.
As always time will tell, time will tell!!
DYOR!
Back to Carl's test ....
Market Cap very low for a covid test!!
Carl's test - fast (tick), sensitive (tick), specific (tick)
Test, test, test
Researching...

Fluorescence immunoassay device with an instrument to provide a result within 12 minutes. Sounds familar!!!!
$302M! WoW.
BRH market cap < £13M
Carl's test will be massive for LTH!!!
https://www.gov.scot/news/12-minute-covid-tests/
OMG, Carl's test and covid killing TEXTILES!!
What a unique combo here and the best part is very few know about BRH or RMS!!!
Market Cap very low for a covid test!!
Carl's test - fast (tick), sensitive (tick), specific (tick)
Test, test, test
Surely soon paraytec will get some widespread media attention/news articles.
Would be very good if test was approved by Christmas but I think that's over optimistic?
What I take from the Daily Mail article is Carl's test concept works.
LumiraDx - Fluorescence immunoassay device with an instrument to provide a result within 12 minutes. Sounds familiar!!!!
Sensitivity of 98% and specificity of 97%.
MHRA Guidelines
Acceptable Sens > 80%, Spec > 95%
Desired Sens > 97%, Spec > 99%
LumiraDx test meets Acceptable criterion!
Very close to Desired criterion!
Will Carl's in-house aptamer get the Desired specificity over the line??
Has any test assay met the MHRA Desired Criterion?
Not that I am aware of and I have followed covid assays in detail!!
Imagine, if Carl's in-house aptamer gets us over the line in terms of speed, sensitivity and specificity! Imagine the returns for LTH!!
WoW!!

Carl's test..
The test involves the deployment of a DNA aptamer - a short, single-stranded DNA molecule that adopts a shape that is complementary to that of the virus surface protein. By coating a test surface with millions of copies of the aptamer molecule, our capture module can trap Covid-19 virus particles from a swab sample, as they flow over the test surface. Trapped viruses are then instantaneously coated with the signal generation module, a synthetic chimaeric protein, that both recognises the viral surface as well as being highly fluorescent. The resultant fluorescent signal is measured by the detection module using a version of Paraytec's patented Actipix area imaging technology configured for fluorescence detection.

Imagine, if Carl's in-house aptamer gets us over the line in terms of speed, sensitivity and specificity!
The aptamer chimaeric protein "soup" could be the differentiator for Carl's test to be the ONLY test to meet the MHRA Guidelines Desired Criterion!!
The Brucie bonus is speed (<300 SECONDS).
Plus covid killer Face Masks and TEXTILES!!!
WoW! Well thats my conclusion. Now a LTH!
Holding for gold!!
DYOR!

I sold half my AVCT recently and put in here. I feel our test has more legs than BAMS with our low market cap and cant see big LFT sales until after Jan. But who am I, just a speculating investor.
Well, i sold ALL my ncyt at 945p and put it here. If I left it in NCYT it would be worth same value. I still have no regrets because this has so many next-generation weaponry tools for sale against covid.
The CEO is very transparent and is not afraid of giving out the bad news. There is also a sense of urgency with P2F with manufacturing starting in December instead of Jan....and proof of concept was completed in just4 months. That sense of urgency will equate to big profits down the line.
For that guy whinging when we went down to 30p, you can sell out now like you said you would.
I got a maintenance warning!
Thought we had crashed the server!!
Now, I wonder if Carl Smythe's in-house aptamer chimaeric protein "soup" (as I call it) could be the differentiator for Carl's test to be the ONLY test (IMHO) to meet the MHRA Guidelines Desired Criterion!!
Even Avacta (unfortunately) cannot make this claim!!
Who would like to partner with Carl/Paraytec/Sheffield University in such an adventure??
We shall see, we shall see!!
$302M reasons from the Daily Mail article tells me we could be on to something big here!!
Lab and Clinical validation just got very interesting for me!!
Hold for gold. This share will multibag from here!
Carl's test - fast (tick), sensitive (tick), specific (tick)

Avacta along have missed their deadlines. The differences between us and them ...is their partnership collaborations, and money raised. Otherwise, our tech could be just as good albeit behind slightly. Looking forward to the astra/glaxo partnership announcements.
