I think confidence has been severely knocked by the loss of this long standing customer: "a long standing and major public sector customer of the Group has, during the period, changed the processes by which they manage their outsourced building services work. This has resulted in both delays to expected work and certain work being taken in house by the customer" And then they reapply numbers to last years accounts, with talk of "disputed revenue" of £655k, of which I will stick my neck out and say it's related to the "long standing customer" above They seemed a well run company when they ipo'd and I see no reason why they shouldn't recover in time, but with the issues they are having currently it seems impossible to value and I remain out at present, I'm also wondering if there would be a need to raise cash and/or halt dividends, we will find out in the results in December no doubt
I have decided to question whether this co. is actually "defensive". Another company in this sector Lakehouse has fallen a lot, saying that H.A.s are making cutbacks. Thus, Bilby will presumably drift down further, but then a buy might still be the wrong call.
We have had £16m knocked off the mkt. cap. since guidance on 1.11.16 and 7.12.16 of reduced profits of approx. £1.5m. I think this is a relatively solid defensive co. with growth potential. There may be further short term pressure here, but these should be good buying opportunities. It will be interesting to see if the dividend is maintained going forward.
fortunate, managed to get back out at 81 for a manageable loss, presumably the bounce was to fill a gap ?
big drop since I last looked Placing ahoy ?
looks a decent company, always concerns me when results come out later than expected however. They were released in June last year
Just read the following from the finals: "Notably, even after the Mayor of London secured £821m in the 2011-2015 spending round period for London to improve c. 45,000 homes, London will still have 11 of the 12 UK local authorities where 10% of the housing still does not meet the Decent Homes Standard. This continues to provide Bilby with significant opportunities." Looks very good prospects Atb
I agree with some good buys going through today
Something is occurring here.... been quiet for a while, flurry of decent buys last couple of days.... i'm in today, some decent figures with news on the horizon I feel....
Brief article summarising results and why this could be a gem...
Why have they wiped all of the previous postings? Are they running out of space on their hard drive?
It was tipped in Investors Chronicle.
just think, i thought about selling when it dipped to 63p on the bid....drrrrr! Quite company. slowly increasing. lovely
a 10% plus uplift every month is very acceptable but rather strange there have now been two 10% plus daily uplifts but nothing much else.
Moving up 20% on a few buys
Although small, good to see sp up.
Will be adding
