roller I’m shocked if Suzy did get your post removed , we need everybody’s views on here even lbjj, it’s what makes a good thread, I’m sorry,
l am quite sure this guy must have some skeletons hanging around he would soon change his mind like all public people if they were used to our advantage . lol
Very good points from you as always Eric, let's face it she upsets everyone and everyone gets fed up with her attitude, as said before I bet she doesn't have many friends... anyway.. back to waiting and hopefully a message from Kurt, have a great evening..
I see. Baylan certainly has no shame or conscience, but he seems to be working hard for someone by stringing out our wait. Saying this and that then doing the opposite. Lol.
I'm sorry you appear to have fallen out with Sooz. I personally feel Kurt could do more now by involving the PM, because Baylan has not specified a timeline for UNESCO to respond with its comments. A bit naughty.
Only my thoughts. As for a pasting, not sure, but he could have some pressure applied from above. If the PM won't sort this out for us, then we may need to take legal action, following Boliden's lead, to get a result.
However Roller, we shareholders do not have all the details as to what exactly is happening in the background, and in the latest Proactive webinar Kurt mentioned that there was a lot going on. Newsflow this year wouldn't suggest that, so I guess we must be due some soon and hopefully of the meaty variety.
Only my view.
Cheers Roller.
Hello Eric, I said Baylan needs a pasting and was getting quite a few people agree with me until Suzy said to remove it as it was thuggish...I think people found my comment less offensive than her dribble about flowers and songs from YouTube thank she thinks is acceptable.. anyway she is of an age where she get offended easily especially if you say anything about Kurt, borderline obsessive I'd say.. have a good evening GLA
I missed what you said Roller, but the removal of your posts may not be personal. It's happened to me before when my comments were perfectly harmless, and some of the posts on the bb can't always be viewed and then suddenly they can. It's all a bit weird. I guess you could post the comments again, see what occurs.
Best wishes.
Rune/Sooz, thanks for posting Baylo's reply. Makes me furious that he talks of quick and efficient administration, when the KU has already revealed the Government did nothing to progress our application for three years or more.
Typical response, standard, expected. Unsatisfactory.
Best wishes you two.
Amazing that he thinks that this is a justification for something which is supposed to take a few months, to extend to 8 years and counting. And of course, being a politician, he has not answerred the question "what measures I am prepared to take to ensure that a government decision on a processing concession for Kallak is not further delayed".
Sadly my comments were deleted just as it seemed I was getting quite a bit of support, seems their are several like minded people on this forum.. freedom of speech is obviously not allowed...
Rune. Thanks. And when we eventually get a reply from UNESCO confirming no effect on laponia, I assume Baylan will ask them to comment on possible adverse effects on Stonehenge and the giants Causeway.
As useless a reply as we all expected from him
A stock answer from Billy Baylan with a touch of UNESCO seasoning.
"Answer to question 2020/21: 2797 by Mattias Karlsson in Luleå (M)
Processing concession for Kallak
Mattias Karlsson has asked me what measures I am prepared to take to ensure that a government decision on a processing concession for Kallak is not further delayed.
The application for a processing concession for Kallak K no. 1 contains an extensive document that reflects the complex issues that the case includes. It is of great importance that the government assesses its cases from all aspects and ensures that decisions are made after adequate processing. The preparation of a case includes both handling measures and is reflected in incoming and outgoing letters as well as internal handling elements such as legal analyzes, considerations and assessments. All of this can affect the time required at different stages of the preparation of a government case. However, the starting point for the Government's handling of administrative matters is always that it should take place quickly, efficiently and without compromising legal certainty.
Legal analyzes and considerations have resulted in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) being given the opportunity to comment on the possible impact of the applied processing concession Kallak K No. 1 on the Laponia World Heritage Site.

Who Mr Money is or what motive he would have for providing this information I am not at all bothered to verify...I've taken it as read and you can take it or leave it. It's exactly the reply I expected.
Much obliged to you Mr Money.

Thanks Xeno..we're like minded. :-)
Re "By playing along you are eliminating the options the goverment can take against you. for example the goverment pokes you with a stick and when you show your teeth like a rabid dog the goverment can say, look he is dangrous we gotta stop you."
And if you always turn the other cheek, you get very sore cheeks.
Point missed xeno. The adage can of course be a good thing or a bad thing but it rarely switches between the two
Well if that old adage is true then whats the point of working out? or running? does not that increase the muscles or improve your stamina?
And the point to mr lbj that if the kallak mine deposit of 33 billion pounds was known to the swedes during the 30s beowulf would never have gotten the permit to search in the first place. there are alot of places where ppl think deposits are but alas it shows very often very small amounts and those prospekting projects costs ALOT and not many ppl can put their money where their mouth is.
Im no expert but i dont think blameing a ceo is the right thing to do when its a green socialsit goverment working against the company. it has been a socialist ruleing goverment since the 70s with the occasional few years with a pro company goverment. Playing hardball wont speed up the process or increase the likelihood of it going in your favor.
by being patient and not going away is a better path to take because it shows the authorites that you are a serious actor and not irresponsible. By playing along you are eliminating the options the goverment can take against you. for example the goverment pokes you with a stick and when you show your teeth like a rabid dog the goverment can say, look he is dangrous we gotta stop you. but in this case beowulf is getting poked ALOT for a long time and still no teeth have been shown and the goverment cant use the dangerous card against them.
A big theroy on the net was that one of reason beo does not get a yes is because it was not enough swedish shareholders in the company. wich is an apsurd thought. it does not matter what nationality the company shareholders have the goverment will get their taxes either way but still even kurt mentions it just to apease. One of the biggest employers in sweden are owned by china and they get every favorable treatment possible from the goverment, a lot more so then the swedish owned companies. Diplomacy with brute force with a list of demands is not a good option for companies to take and kurt knows this.
The berst course of action in this scenario is to just simply wait what the unesco report says. if its positive and says it does not impact the laponia then a aproval from the goverment is the only option left for them, no more excuses.
And worst case scenario if its negative and unesco finds someting that they find wrong with the mine and the goverment says no then kurt could take them to the court and explain the boliden scenario plus show that there are already mines both old and currently operating closer to the laponia border then the kallak mine and get rekitified that way.
Re "Eight years + waiting for a decision is too long and everyone agrees with that including The Minister but we're not alone, no new mining project has been given the go ahead in the last ten years."
Suzy. Is it possible that the reason no other mines have been permitted, simply that being so determined to deny BEM the permit, the government position would be untenable to then grant other mines. Nothing else will be passed until Kallak is sorted one way or the other.
Suzy. Not sure it's relevant how long I've been in BEM. Was first brought to my attention by a work colleague over 10 years ago who saw great prospects but saw it as a very long hold before being in the money. He certainly wasn't wrong there. I actually invested 4 or 5 years ago as it happens.
What is relevant however is the old adage that if you always do the same thing, you always get the same result.
Baylan knows this and plays on it to the max.
Suzy2,
“ and KB only manages one of them “
He is not managing at all. He is happy to spectate and fire off the occasional email. You say he has delivered. He only has to deliver one thing - the concession, and he has not delivered it, has he.
Blind faith and wishful thinking is ineffective.
I hope you manage to get back there Roller. Sounds lovely.
Ibjj...Permitting is always the big risk in a mining project, you know that as well as I do. I'm happy to agree to differ but I'll stick to my own opinion if you don't mind. Eight years + waiting for a decision is too long and everyone agrees with that including The Minister but we're not alone, no new mining project has been given the go ahead in the last ten years...and KB only manages one of them.
To do ‘with’ Budge. ffs
