Interesting article in the Investors Chronicle which is a bit pessimistic. They have it as a hold.
As well as Deutsche Bank,UBS raises to buy 821(810)
DEUTSCHE BANK RAISES BARRATT DEVELOPMENTS TARGET TO 821 (792) PENCE - 'BUY'
GREAT RESULTS , WELL DONE TO THE WHOLE BARRATT TEAM , AND LIKE THE FACT THEY HAVE SORTED OUT CLADDING ISSUES ON BLOCKS OF FLATS .
WILL BE GOOD RESULTS , DEMAND IS HIGH AND THIS SHARE IS £8.00 PLUS ALL DAY LONG .
Wet my powder and bought a lot at 755p . Will top up if it's near that before close.
Nick 123. Think all your 'reservations' are already factored in. And it way under value, anyway.
boe may take the podium tomorrow especially if they talk of tapering bond buying. this would push any rate sensitive stocks lower but in the case of barratt and a few other builders, it would be an opportunity to add. the next couple of years look good for the company.
I expect it will be good... Completions on or above target, average asking price up, plenty of land in the bank. Expect the usual warnings about the end of government support including the end of the stamp duty holiday. There may also be some concerns about inflation feeding in shortly with higher costs of building materials impacting on margins.
I'm surprised the SP has dipped going in to the trading update. I sold up at 795p a couple of weeks ago but tempted to go back in now.
Mortgage borrowing reaches record £11.8billion high in a month
My set sell went thru this morning at top of the tree price - just a few points of a penny out - yeah, I boasting a bit! I should take up darts! lol . Will keep powder dry until news of trading update. GLA. DYOR.
Any thoughts on this?
BUILDERS DOING WELL , STRONG DEMAND FOR HOUSES LETS GO FOR £8.00 PLUS .
£8.50. (I think that's low actually.) Plenty of scope here to make enough to retire on. Look for loose change down back of the chairs and sofa, raid the kids' piggy banks (don't forget to replace coins with buttons though), beg, borrow or steal... Biden's new dollar stimulus - peppered with a big dash of sentiment - should serve us well, Bros. GLA.
After close of play yesterday, when sp was 770 or something, up pops a sell price of 783 in my bdev portfolio window. I think maybe it's just a blip - I've had 'em before - but anyway this time I set it as a sell price for today, and... Maybe somebody up there likes me, eh? Lol.
Crazy. The first message didn't show up so I did an edited version, then it decides to make an appearance. Maybe the 'boys behind the scenes' were debating on whether it was too risqué or something. lol
When I stayed at Trump Tower for one night only and was almost blinded by the glitz? Been trying to erase it from my memory ever since! lol
When I stayed at that over priced glitzy Towering hotel just because I could afford it (for one night)? lol. Actually, I'd rather not talk about that episode in my life - bit of a 'stain' on my judgement and character now!
Did you ever get that business class trip to New York out of it lol. I wish I had had the luck that you had instead of selling
Were as two of my other ex div shares have gone down today, bdev has climbed. This stock is in a little bubble of its own. Mind you, I've been told it is in the top 5 of the ftse 100 shares that merits sustained attention from investors. She has changed my financial life and got me out of a few pickles (with bad investments ) over the last 15 years. I'm now in the process of having a Barratt flag designed for the island. (I have been advised to knock a "T" off Barratt for copyright purpose - I wouldn't like them to sue me and take all their money back! lol.
The way things are looking - and what my crystal ball is telling me - soon be time to start thinking about another floor to the Barratt hotel...
So get that other sail up Captain Jacob to catch this cross wind and save on diesel.
If you haven't got it, just put it on your card. Money safe in a 'holding' bank!
Time to invest that dividend pay-out.
You slyly trying to put newbies off bdev, builderboy? To try'n get'em to put their hard earned cash on T.W (where you got your biggest holding stashed)? lol.
Now, will just check... if I will make more dosh holding till divi day, or cashing in just before. The SP doesn't always drop back hard after ex divi day. Mostly does, but not always , and sometimes just a bit, before it quickly recovers - and on the whole bdev doesn't stay in coronary arrest for too long. DYOR. (haven't said that for a while!) GLA - or that either!
Why would going ex divi make it go up!?
NEXT WEEK WILL GO TO OVER £8.00 .
