I think this is a combination of general market woes and airing caution on a correction, possibly a little mm influence. My take here is despite potential government influence on house prices/tax/stamp duty/inheritance etc, the demand is likely to increase with both an ageing population and population dynamics. At present there are 110,000 asylum/immigrants in hotels waiting processing, plus 15,000 afghans with a further 5000 expected shortly; this is further complication to an already shortfall in available houses.
i agree 'usually_right', and if your right, change your name to 'always_right' lol
MM playing games today in my opinion
i bought 5000 shares in total today with a moving average of 714 after tax, fees, I'll be happy flip these soon at 734- 744 approx

results good but given the run up, mkt chosing to focus on lower y/y reservation rate. dont think this is anything too worrying, ceo saying much the same and that more houses required to keep hp rises in check. think you can buy this dip. not often the sahres are down 5% and anything unde 7 quid is good to tuck away.
yes i think this will bounce/shoot up over next few days, well assuming DOW dont tank
725 by next Monday/Tues
'S not brain surgery - just little runs of itsy-bitzy profit-taking pushing it down, aided and abetted by a blank dividend page. 2022 div page should look a whole lot different.
Time to top up. Brooker ratings consistently excellent. GLA.
This stock does this on more occasions than not , perverse but it does have a trend over the years for it to go down on good news
Commenting on the share price decline, AJ Bell's Russ Mould said: "Perhaps it is down to concerns over the expiry of the stamp duty tax break in October, or worries over an increasing reliance on Help-to-Buy, or the potential impact of the proposed April 2022 launch of the Residential Property Developer Tax, but investors do not seem unduly moved by Barratt Developments' strong full-year results.
"Shareholders will also be keeping a wary eye on the costs associated with cladding remediation of previously-constructed sites, notably Citiscape in Croydon. The bill went up by a further GBP81.9 million in the year to June 2021, taking the total to GBP184 million since 2017, and management has flagged that the year to June 2022 could see further costs of GBP40 to GBP50 million, if its guidance for 'adjusted items' in the results presentation is any guide."
Does anyone think his reasons are to blame for today's fall rather than some over the top on the day reaction?
Also the daily rsi is overbought and at the top trend line of a descending channel
Todays price action looks v. similar to persimmon sp reaction ? results day on 18th Aug, big drop intraday but a very good upside price action in the next few days, also remember it's going xdivi in 4 weeks for 3-4% people might be buying for that, how many people think it's going back up in the next few days at least?
just bagged myself some at 714, hoping to flip these today/tomo at 729

Results seemed good-ish to me, yet sp 3% down. Perverse? Anyway, topped up.

It would have been nice to get last years divi as well ,
I've been holding this throughout the summer thinking come September we would see an increase back to normality. Strange
Bought another £6k - was expecting this to rise close to £8 on the back of these results and will now settle for anything positive today.
that's the market i guess, let's see where she settles

Peeps now saying was there really a need for stamp duty holiday. Down to Gov. not seeing the Bigger picture? Kinda lookin' that way... GLA.
Good question
We have to assume strong numbers , but how the
Market reacts is hard to call
As a betting man, up in the morning, retrace Lower lower in the afternoon
(One for the day traders)
What do you think about the upcoming results and how it will affect the sp on the day? May be a rise like tw or a flop like psn...
Yeah, there's another rumour going about... Stevie Morgan is going back to digging ditches in Scouse Land.
