And basically preserved 20% of my remaining capital in the last two days. Feeling wholly more comfortable now that the dough is parked into a couple of companies that will run on fund capital and index related rallies (once BTC plays ball of course too).
It’s a real shame what has happened here. Could have been a much needed UK listed success story, but it’s a sh*tcoin that has been plundered to near death.
I think you made the correct choice. ARGO is just a gamble play now with hope that it gets to ride the wave with the rest but knowing it’s a dog with no future. I’d rather put my chips elsewhere, better plays out there if that’s your style. MIGI would be better suited.
MARA’s chart is looking as bullish as ever

The larger market cap miners are ready to rise imo
Right in the week of quadruple witching, when the highest OI of calls was 30$. Market makers rest assured that no one would be in for the pump.

Redrag, yes a real shame. Had high hopes for Helios, and we've seen galaxy make a success of it, so the dream was real, and we could be looking at a bil mcap again, but not to be due to bad decisions from PW and co, mixed with some bad luck and bad timing. Best of luck with your new investments.
After 3.5 years of investing in this company, I’ve finally cashed out. My initial £20k investment soared to a dizzying £120k, starting at a mere 35p per share back in January 2021. But alas, the rollercoaster ride ended with just £7.9k.
And then there’s my NCYT misadventure—I foolishly rode that stock from over £12 to a pitiful 47p. 🎢 Retirement dreams? Not quite yet. Unless someone out there has the golden tip for the next big investment, I’ll be here, sipping my tea and watching the market. ☕💸
Good choice, miner squeeze in happening. Overall hashrate is down today, ARB is one of the first ones that will fold IMO.
ArfurBat - thanks for sharing and most of us have the "what was I thinking" stories. A solid reminder that getting the right entry is one half of the equation but getting out at an appropriate time is equally if not moreso important. Let's hope we've all learned these lessons and come out on top with current/future investments.
Secter bull market usually last 2 years or 2 years and a bit from bottom to top. so 3 plus years in and your going to get hit badly at some point. this one has another 8 or 9 months to go in my opinion. so try to stick with best miners. bitcoin weakness is typical of get rid of the many who have no patience or need the money right now. so bottom was around january 2023 and top more likely march 2025 or before then. the longer bitcoin trades sideways with weakness the longer the bull market to the top. and near to the top sell the lot. no ifs, no buts. be brutal because the market will take your profis for you in the coming weeks/months from the top. just my opinion but stick with the plan and money making money in the end.
My word, that's quite the rollercoaster and fair play to you for seemingly maintaining a positive outlook!
I had a similar situation with both those companies, but in particular Ncyt, where I made (to me) a small fortune that had me thinking I could do this investment lark semi- full time but have lost a hell of a chunk of it since.
I just think you have to be strict and brutal otherwise the market will take your profits and also cutting a loss before it gets out of hand. look at it this way. if in a bull market you end up on 3 times or 4 times or more paper profits of your wages or pension or whatever. so it ends up not reality at all . millions in this country are slaving for 10 quid an hour and you have just made from home holding onto shares several years wages. so it will be taken back if you get too greedy. however the great thing you can sell in minutes. so it is whether you do the right thing. fantasy land was arb going from 5p to 3 quid in months.
The reality is just starting to kick in here finally - i've been saying for a few weeks now that the interims are a key deadline in which the tide needs to have turned by, I still think we'll be talking 1/2p after that update late Autumn if nothing has materially improved by then.
Don't be negative ladsif it gets down to 3 I might buy back in Dags lad
What's the reason bitcoin is falling back so? Usually it moves in similar ways to gold but that's held up fine today.
News today that about 141,000 Mt Gox BTC and BCH will be distributed back early in July...
It will be interesting to see if some of those early Bitcoin adopters were Bitcoin big blockers and decide to sell BTC and buy BCH.
It should make for some volatile moves in the coming weeks and months
DS - BCH seems to be bleeding even worse than BTC. How many times can they repeat the same Mt Gox FUD though? It's like 2021 when China banned BTC about 15 times.
Those were the days, China so annoyed about bitcoin they'd unban it just to be able to ban it again
the wulf is hot as ****. keep hold of them golden tickets .
BCH doing ok today ;)
Why do most Bitcoin and supposedly Crypto YT channels delete Bitcoin Cash comments ?
News that Mt Gox circa 141,000 BTC and BCH will be returned early in July...
It will be interesting to see if some of those early Bitcoin adopters were Big Blockers, if they sell BTC and buy BCH ( 1 into 160 )
Fascinating few months ahead for small blocks v big blocks Bitcoins
Yesterday btc retreated almost 4.5%. Wulf finished up 2%. And today it sky rockets first thing...
Misterbeck. yep. it has been itching to go up and great positive strength despite bitcoin being crap. and here we are. glad you held most of your shares bud.
Yes still got 80% of original wulf holding. rotated 20% out into APLD which has performed well too over the last week. Wanted to reduce some exposure to btc in case of pullback and AI stocks seem to be the obvious hedge to use. Yesterday was a bit fraught though... I had my moments!
We all have our moments. lol. i am in applied digital also. really good stock picking helps in this market as for the time being not all boats are flying from the secter.

Must be big block haters.
Bit Digital finally moving on its overdue HPC news. Had really lagged this past 6 weeks, compared with other small cap miners. Holding for a rerate this next few weeks.
Wulf showing unbelievable strength. Wish I hadn't sold that one after Q1 results!
Yep. good for bitdigital shareholders today that finally they get a really good share price move. it will need a few more days/ weeks of a good rise but it has joined the party led by the likes of wulf, iren, corz.
