I agree 100%. We have seen these pull backs before and they are inevitable; in fact, for me, to be welcomed because I intend to hoover up as many as I can get each time
I keep breaking my own rules with AET. First, not more than 10% holding. Then 20%. Then 30%. It is now at 36% of my portfolio.
Then I said I would top slice at 50%. But I have changed my mind.
For me now, this is a pass on to your children kind of stock and in 10 years I`m confident this will have reaped the benefits of any investor daring enough to win.
Need to sit-down now and look at the data and do some calcs to reassure myself
This is a buy, accumulate, hold & never sell kinda share :)
The next 20 years are gonna be wealth generating on an epic scale :)
Could the KON 15&19 deals be ready to sign off?
Or something else........?
Lots of trades today (compared to yesterday) WHO KNOWS WHAT??????
Nice to see the oil price flying just in time for the 450,000 Bbl lifting. Serious cash generating
Or a step doon if like me having bin in since 15p took a chunk of profit he hee
Tomorrow and rest of week as we get closer to the mysterious 11 June Presentation Date. Don't lose the opportunity to be in for the next deal which could be a STEP UP!
TBH the only way this goes private in my view is if Askar Alshinbayev wanted it all but he could have already done that. He holds 21.27% of all shares.
In the short term anyway, who knows down the line when hopefully share price much higher.
100+ this year now doesn’t seem so hard with 1-2 more deals and favourable oil and production updates
I do, unfortunately. I worked for a firm where KKR "acquired" us and then got laid off shortly thereafter! One person`s "acquisition" is the counterparty`s "divestment"; it is just the other side of the coin.
The day-to-day management normally remains the same after the hatchet has been wielded!
BAU, yes indeed. Here, any PE would be buying Paul and his team. No doubt about that.
By "big boys" I assumed the OP meant one of the oil giants, not a PE, which is possible I agree.
Also, its a "start-up" that has an MCAP of 135M. Not so small anymore.
Quiggers. Not sure you know how Private Equity works. Its not a divestment.
If a fund takes a majority stake they can help fast track Afentra to IPO as a FTSE listed business after the usually 4 year cycle. In my view that would be the only real outcome. Could also see a fund taking a minority stake, but less likely.
Paul would still stay at the helm "prove a point" as you say.
Furthermore, the senior leadership stand to make a massive personal financial gain from it via sweet equity.
Congratulations Baggz, I hope you’ve made a decent amount to hopefully offset/ take pain away from other shares.
Quiggers52, Thank you 😊. Appreciated.
Avelrod111. Many thanks for your answer.
Where is that crystal ball?!
Would imagine divestment of a start-up is the last thing on McDade`s mind; he has a point to prove, and he is making it
Since McDade`s strategy is hoovering up assets sold off by the "bigger boys" I`d say there are two hopes: one of them is Bob Hope and the other is ...
Well Anastasia (CFO) is ex Private Equity. So with the network and contacts there definitely be discussions at some point to be PE backed for sure.
However, don't rely on that.
I am a no nothing about this share although invested here, I rely on posters knowledge.
What are the chances of this company being taken over by one of the bigger boys?
Hey Rift:
Two Qs if I may (always good to second 2nd opinions):
What`s your fair value?
Have you run a DCF valuation?
Muchas gracias
Very happy with the progress but these assets are worth a lot more than 60p.
Excited about the next deal and delighted McDade Cloke and Deulina are at the helm.
Onwards and Upwards
Isn't Baggzzz Terry and JWB ?
IIs will be waking up to this interesting fact here.
At 59p the Market Cap (MC) is £133,434,400.
Azule alone, prod. = 6,800 bopd [28% aggregate stakes in Blocks 3/05 and 3/05A] based on Jan - Apr 2024
Assuming USD of 75 and same prod to EOY = rev in GBP equal to 75% of today`s MC.
In 8 months, Azule rev ONLY = three quarters of today`s MC.
Wowzers.
(I`m not "Terry" btw. - whoever that is)
Always happy to be proven wrong when in a share that goes up! 😆
I wonder why you were so unnecessarily pessimistic before Baggzzzz - surely this is what investing is about. Spottng a good company and then patiently waiting for movement. Much healthier than spikes and dips
Just looking for my hat to eat! Good work…happy to see my investment 60.42% up! Hope the momentum continues!
