This research makes me feel more bullish about syn, sar and val - if the spike keeps changing and these comps have products that bypass the spike then they are promising. I have syn and sar - time to buy back the val.

X,
Thanks for posting. Good to see the mention but that’s a pretty shabby write up for a Scancell! The reporter at least mentioned that it is a DNA vaccine but that’s about it. Looks like she checked Companies House and nothing else.
mRNA vaccines are quicker to develop but the main draw back is you have to keep boosting.
Scancell DNA vaccine should need little or no boosting but much will depend on the success of targeting the Nucleoplasid (N protein). Not many have taken this approach so if it works it could be interesting. They have also targeted the nodule of the spike protein (S) which is a Nobel approach.
https://www.scancell.co.uk/covidity
Scancell have based this vaccine via its Moditope Platform. Added a touch of Avidity too (a booster). This vaccine is as much a shop window for Scancell platforms so it’s about attracting attention as anything else. Never know, it might even make it all the way.
Anybody know a pharmaceutical company that has a poorly performing vaccine against Omicron?
bojo
cant remember the name of it,sinovec,or something like that
apparently
shows low results,in the ethicacy,department
according to an indonesian study.
Hi T,
CORONOVAC
This seems to be the phase 3 study published in the lancet.
https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(21)01429-X/fulltext
The vaccine seems to have good efficacy (83%) and good response including spike protein and some nucleoplasid. It is a inactivated virus vaccine (same type as Valneva).
Just skimmed through it mind and some information maybe interim.

ime no expert on spike proteins/genome testing, mnra etc
but i remember that virologist, chris smith,of the naked scientist
saying pfizer/biotech,were the best
azn,wasnt far behind
and that chinese one, worked and was ok,but not as good as the first three.
thinksputnik did ok aswell, even though,it flooded the markets, without western approvals
i didnt know sclp, was into vaccines, until a few days ago
chelea7's an ex hypnotherapist,so dont look into his eyes.loll

that spanish flu(that was really, born in the USA) from 1914 ish
dilluted itself and burnt itself out,in the end
maybe this one, will do the same....hopefully
mRNA vaccines are first generation
So we can either boost AZ, PF etc as they are looking fairly useless against Omicron. Or another vaccine may step forward to bridge the gap, but mRNA are usually a stop gap. Effectiveness wanes as we can see at the moment.
More likely is that second generation vaccines will be required. These are mostly DNA based vaccines and have been in development since the beginning of the pandemic. They are slower to develop but as a rule they give longer lasting protection (this is very important).
Scancell is a DNA vaccine but it is one of a handful that is specifically targeting the Nucleoplasid.
Like I say, Sclp vaccine may not make it but it certainly won’t be 20p a share one way or another for too much longer!
ok cheers bojo
sclp,isnt immunitherapy,dna based.
i guess sclp, had an head start, with their cancer technology
all behond me m8,its all in the T CELLS.lol.

The stats say Gaateng has peaked. If thats true....holy f*ck.
better buy Cine and IAG first thing Monday.
https://twitter.com/nicd_sa/status/1469726363783512068
obviously don't go and buy cine and iag on monday.
because there is a battle between delta and omni.
or all kinds of other factors. don't take investment advice from me.
however I do think its significant that omni may have peaked already in Guateng. It went up fast. Its gone down fast. and most people are alive and not in ICU. if that was replicated here it would be euphoric/positive etc. but we have a different demographic to SA etc etc etc. Still if those figures are reliable it means something.

maybe bojo as a thought on it
but i would imagine,after only 2 weeks
its too early, for an outbreak,to have spiked......

anyway thats the link
seems they havin' IT issues this week - with their covid numbers.

you can go onto the second page and click on 'gauteng' to see hospitalization and death figures and see how omnicron is way lower than earlier variants. but i could be wrong - the SA data could be wrong.
and this fella has been going through the same data.

if your in ftse related comps, sensitive to going out stocks
i'd be thinking of floggin um and re avaluating to situation.....somewhere in january.
except anything helium,i'd be buying them,for a trend reverssal.lol.
but a placing(£5 mill) is due,they havnt had one,for over a year....
Good to watch the Covid space.
My opinion is that science will either tame it or it will burn itself out. It may come close to doing this with Omicron.
However, the next pandemic may be around the corner. We are having one every 10 years and if they take hold for years at a time then it will be less than 10 years in real time.
Platform technologies such as AZ, Pfizer, Sclp will be in the thick of 1st defenders.
Dame Sarah Gilbert is probably right. Government need to defend us against pandemics as they would invading military forces.
What cheery thoughts!
Troajan.
HE1. placing due. Shame as its a nice price at the moment. But lower possible!
And re trend reversal...buying in Jan or buying now?
Cheers.
BOJO2020
Thanks for your thoughts.
I can almost enjoy the tremendous amount of 'not knowing'.
Its a challenging uncertainty.
xviolet
the last placing was for £10 mill,or around there and after that, the sp rose 3 fold
so it could be a good thing.lol.
Troajan
Thanks. I was getting ready to buy more HE1. I thought sp holding up nicely and sensed potential to move up very quickly on news or fomo.
xviolet
its still a strong buy.
usually,a placing can cause chaos, but on that one,it seems to be,very short lived
Xviolet,
That guardian article about Scancell has been shared between the globe. Including all major Uk newspapers, New York, US and Australia. Seems the world can’t get enough of omicron news…
BOJO2020
Well Scancell shooting up at the moment. Tempted to buy a few more tomorrow - suffering FOMO that I don't have enough of 'em.
Hi - is news due soon from Scancell?
