Apparently, someone don't like my sense of humour, thought you like to laugh????
"There are messages from people which can be blatently insulting, rude, or obscene, but such contributors usually get banned."
Really????, irony and sarcasm too????!!
"robone is ****ed or a complete numpty,"
....but wow, seems not all and everyone????.... as some may have licence to 'insult'?????
......that is very objective isn't it???
Thanks to hazydaisy on ADVFN
Stena Natalita on its way to the Lancaster Oil Field
Yes
Treaty
That was my immediate thought too
The new appointment is pretty high profile, a long career with BG in the Sahara, Nigeria and China, it would seem she is a NED who understands the oil business.I see this a a positive event as she appears to be the sort of person who doesn't expect to be associated with failure.
"Is it likely that she has been brought in for a main stock market listing."
It states in the RNS why she was hired:
"These skills will be invaluable as Hurricane progresses its Rona Ridge assets towards full field development"
Is it likely that she has been brought in for a main stock market listing.
Fred,I think the last senior position we had on the board was a woman,Sandy Shaw if memory serves me correctly,Klepto.
IIRC, HUR have been criticised in the past for lack of women in senior positions?
Just don’t know what the hell Bev Smith is supposed to bring to the board other than perhaps onto the main listening,we wait and see,Klepto.
Appointment of Non-Executive Director
Hurricane Energy plc, the UK based oil and gas company focused on hydrocarbon resources in naturally fractured basement reservoirs, announces the appointment of Ms Beverley Smith as a non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect.
Ms Smith is a chartered geologist and an accomplished business leader with 30 years' experience in the upstream oil and gas sector. During a successful international career with BG Group, she delivered a portfolio of strategic, commercial, project and people leadership achievements, most recently as Vice President Exploration & Growth for Europe. Ms Smith has a proven track record of strengthening risk management capabilities, delivering improved safety frameworks and ensuring accountability and transparency through the implementation of robust processes and controls. Her work in the voluntary sector includes involvement with the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain, where she will be President of the 2020 Executive Council, and as a Trustee for the Etches Collection at the Kimmeridge Trust.
Following Ms Smith's appointment, half of Hurricane's board of directors (excluding the chairman) are independent non-executive directors, in compliance with the Financial Reporting Council's UK Corporate Governance Code 2018.
Steven McTiernan, Chairman of Hurricane, commented:
"I'm delighted to welcome Beverley to Hurricane Energy. Beverley's distinguished career in oil and gas exploration and development brings highly relevant technical, strategic and management experience which will significantly enhance the capabilities of the board. These skills will be invaluable as Hurricane progresses its Rona Ridge assets towards full field development."
I think it’s safe to say that robone is ****ed or a complete numpty,Klepto.
robone,
Congratulations. I think you've just achieved a first, in my eyes, at least.
One reads all sorts of messages on this BB. Some are deliberate 'ramping'. Some 'deramping'. One sees stuff from people who think they know something about the oilfield when they obviously don't. There are messages from people which can be blatently insulting, rude, or obscene, but such contributors usually get banned.
But your latest takes the biscuit. I think it's the first time I've seen a post which could be described as downright stupid.
Maybe it’s best that you and jaykay1 stop posting on the other board until March when hurricanes cmd will be revealed for all to see.Me,personally,i think it will be a stonker and I’m not one prone to ramping,I’m still in profit but even if I wasn’t,i would still be adding at these prices if i had sufficient funds which i don’t,Merry Xmas everyone and a guid Ner’day,Klepto, slanji.
Longwait,
Thanks for the light entertainment! I think I'll now make a point of looking at the Udog BB once a day for a good belly-laugh.
'Every one of your posts in the last 2 weeks has been a personally attack on me'
JayKay.... you are wrong again!!!!!, check history properly as there are few not linked to you!!!!.... so not 'Every one'!!!!!.... that is you
poor accuracy!!!!
Whatsmore, you should verify your posting history too!!!!.... as you accusing someone of what you doing yourself, don't you?????
So stop pretending being a authority as you are not the one!!!!lol.
.....and start taking responsibility for own trolling activity.lol.
As the festive season is approaching, may I provide some light entertainment, courtesy of our friends on LSE UKOG?
' [HUR has] no revenue,no oil, huge losses year on year. Yet they a market cap of 600m. Down from 1.2 billion since June 2019. Junk share which is heading towards insolvency. Hope your losses aren't too excessive !'
(Sachs1 to JK1)
'[HUR's]latest RNS states a marked decline to only average 12,000 bopd since 20th September. That is a steep decline in such a short period. Now a reported water cut increase to 30%.'
(Argus1 to JK1)
'The way things are going it could be 20p Hurricane / 20p UKOG.'
[UKOG is currently less than 1p]
(wizard125)
Thanks for the info, JK1.
It's really disappointing to know that HUR are unlikely ever to become a producer (or were they referring to the movies?)
We had better let BP know that the water content of their barrels from HUR is 100 percent, considerably higher than even the biggest deramper's estimate we've had here.
I suggest we also remind RT to turn the lights out.
O.K. thanks again mate.Your take is appreciated.
A decision is due in Q1 2020 if memory serves. It just hadn't been made at the time of the RNS so they had no option but to say what they did.
Thanks wellwell. It seems incredible to me that the OGA do not give oil companies long now (even with a discovery) to keep
a well bore open. There must be some newish law that says a well must be abandoned within so many months if not utilised.
I just hope that we can get this gas link tied up quickly with their approval of course.
I’m almost certain with the info available that the OGA will issued approval. I don’t see any other sensible outcome.
wellwell while we have a tad of spare time. What is your take on the Lincoln tieback. The latest RNS infers that it is really
in the hands of the OGA whether this will go ahead in 2020 or abandon.
It's always tempting to get into a debate along the lines of "my company is better than yours"
Well it's the Christmas season so let's wish all shareholders in both UKOG and Hurricane a happy and prosperous New Year. From a Hurricane prospective, as the saying goes "Sticks and Stones..." and from where I am looking, there appears to be more carrots than sticks to worry about. We have generated $69M extra free cash flow in 6 mths at an average 13300 bopd. So next year at the forecast av 20000 bopd we can look fwd to annual free cash flow of $184M being added to the current pile of $150M giving a total of $334M. Now this gives a Price to Free Cash Flow figure less than 2! So I think we can afford to be magnanimous even to the detractors because whilst sp performance is temporary, class is permanent. Happy Xmas and New Year
